“Lovely resort tucked away in the Tuscan hills. My only regret was not staying longer because one night was definitely not enough. The estate is maintained beautifully and the concierge staff is wonderful. Rooms were small and nicely decorated. Our room had a gorgeous and expansive patio. Amenities are lovely (pool, spa, tennis courts, etc). The restaurant staff was very odd, though. Food was great- we had dinner and breakfast there. But the staff at both was super strange, I don't really know...

“The area requires a car, but it is so peaceful and calm. The only downside is the bathroom in the room - it certainly wasn’t in keeping with the service and the rating of the rest of the property. The swimming pool and the food was exceptional.”

“This is an INCREDIBLE property! Beautiful landscaping, 10 min. drive from Bagno Regio. The breakfast they served was over the top delicious with home made treats, fresh ricotta cheese, and a wide variety of choices. They make a caffe/espresso for you. Couldn't recommend this place any higher, extraordinary property and service!”

“Beautiful place in a beautiful city! The grounds are so lovely and the staff so kind. The breakfast was delicious! If you don’t have a car, be prepared to call taxis as walking to town doesn’t really work. Great stay!”

“Abbiamo soggiornato 3 notti in questo Agriturismo e siamo rimasti piacevolmente colpiti. La struttura è davvero carina e pulitissima, camere ben insonorizzate e bagno enorme. La punta di diamante però sono le colazioni, preparazioni sia dolci che salate, tutte fatte in casa dalla proprietaria e tutte buonissime. Davvero consigliato!”

“Wir waren mit vier befreundeten Familien in Montiano. Die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter gestaltete sich im Vorfeld etwas schwierig, vor Ort aber war Sam einfach der perfekte Gastgeber für ein tolles Quartier in einer traumhaften Lage. Sam und seine Familie nahmen uns freundlich auf, standen uns mit Rat und Tat zu Seite, wir erhielten Tipps bzgl. Stränden, Ausflugszielen in der Umgebung etc. und wurden sogar aus ihrem Gemüsegarten reichlich mitversorgt! Ein weiterer Pluspunkt war die...

“Paesaggio stupendo e struttura ben tenuta, consiglio ai proprietari di effettuare il servizio di cena/pranzo/colazione un pò più rivolto alla ristorazione e un pò meno al casalingo, prodotti ottimi ma il servizio da migliorare. ”

“A Pietreta siamo stati coccolati e ci siamo sentiti proprio a casa. Abbiamo acceso il camino e preparato le castagne comprate in uno dei tanti negozietti del paese. Siamo andati alle terme e abbiamo visitato le varie località dei dintorni, Pienza, Montepulciano, Montalcino...ecc... Paesaggi meravigliosi. La colazione è sempre servita con cura in appartamento ed è ogni giorno un pò diversa. Gli appartamenti sono comodi e molto puliti, arredati con cura e con molto gusto. Ho girato molto negli...

"We had an amazing experience at Hotel Della Fortezza! The unique atmosphere and historic setting made our stay truly special. What really stood out to us was the hotel’s strong commitment to sustainability — from eco-friendly practices to their focus on local, organic products. We especially loved the delicious locally produced food, which gave us a real taste of the region. It’s clear that the hotel values quality and the environment in everything they do. Highly recommended — definitely worth a visit!"

"A 10/10 experience throughout (and an amazing hot spring, with millennia worth of history). Not for anyone going for a budget experience, but worth every penny. Can recommend trying to stay for at least a couple of nights, as a single night might make you struggle to do everything you can and want to do. Only issues were a misunderstanding during check-out (so I had to pay twice for something, but I had thrown away the receipt so partially my fault), and that the valet parking guy had changed all settings on my car as it was returned."
