“A clean and nicely kept place located just north of Puerto Viejo de Talamanca 800 m from the amazing black beach. There is a bus stop on the main road halfways to Puerto Viejo but if you travel first time with bus it is easier to jump off in Puerto Viejo and (if you have luggage) to take a taxi or a tuk-tuk which is cheap. The hosts, Umberto and Katie, have No limits in their hospitality and speak excellent english. The bathroom was heated and thus wet clothes and towels dried up which is not...

“Vi hade en underbar vecka på Banana Azul! Personalen var glad, trevlig och gjorde sitt yttersta för att vår vistelse skulle bli så bra som möjligt. Maten på restaurangen var fantastisk, och frukosten hade tre fasta rätter plus dagens specialitet som varierande. Vi bodde i ett separat litet hus som heter Colibri, och blev först lite tveksamma när det inte fanns a/c i hettan, men takfläkten och öppet fönster (med inbyggt myggnät) gjorde sitt, så vi sov gott med ljudet från havet i bakgrunden....

“I spent 1 night and it was fine for me. The room was clean. There is a fan which was good bc I don't like ACs. The mattresses needs updating bc I could feel the coils. The front desk was very nice. The grounds are very clean. ”

“Buena atención por parte de Gabriel, siempre disponible. Sin problema para recibir mascotas. La casa cuenta con una buena zona verde. Solo falta colocar un tramo muy pequeño de cerramiento entre las dos casas, para que los perros no se pasen a la otra propiedad. Bien la limpieza general de la casa. En los artículos de cocina, si es necesario un aseo profundo en algunos. Buena asolación en la piscina.”

“We had 3 rooms for 5 nights, two of the rooms had no functional showers and one no functional toilet. Event though they didn't fix them we tried to be flexible. Our reservation was confirmed with breakfast included but it was according to management a misunderstanding so they refused to serve us. Then they contacted Expedia and confirmed that breakfast was included. We were pleased and had breakfast for 3 days but on the 4th day the manager said it was not included and claimed payment...
