Välkommen till The Great Escape! Denna oceanfront pärla sover 8 och har totalrenoverats från grunden! Vår vackra Beach House är cirka 8 miles från Historic St. Augustine på en avskild strandsträcka som inte har någon offentlig parkering eller tillgång i närheten så att du inte behöver slåss folkmassorna. Hemmet har en svärmor svit nere så ta farföräldrar eller utökad familj ... eller mamma och pappa bara komma bort från tonåringarna ett tag! Med två king size-sängar, en queen size-säng och två enkelsängar för att möta din familjs behov ska alla vara bekväma. Den har två fulla kök, två fulla bad och en underbar utsikt över Atlanten som är din bakgård!
Det inkluderar också Roku TV och wifi! Njut av att besöka den stora balkongen som innehåller en gasgrill, ett picknickbord för strandkök, lutande solstolar för avkoppling och den perfekta hängmatta för en eftermiddagssesta vid havet. Detta avsnitt av stranden erbjuder några av de bästa surfa fiske runt så ta med dina poler och fånga middag! På kvällen njut av eldstaden medan du sparkar tillbaka i Adirondack stolarna för att njuta av det kalla havsbrisen med en flaska vin. Strandstolar och strandspel finns också! Absolutely awesome!! Surf fishing was the best. We caught several varieties. Beach was not crowded as there is no public access to this part of the beach. Water was unusually clear for this part of Florida (so the locals tell me). House was great -- clean, stunning view from the living room. Communication with owner was fast and friendly. I hope to get the opportunity to stay here again.

College Reunion on the BEACH

Good property, simple, the beach is the main attraction. Completely separate floors top and bottom, bottom floor surprisingly is a bit warmer with the AC on. Great deck top and bottom. No dishwasher, minimal pans. 90% of time spent outside, so house doesn’t need to check all the boxes. Slept 8 comfortably. Good value for the area

A for the A-frame!

My husband and I enjoyed all aspects of this cozy beach house during our 3-week stay. Great oceanfront location. Enjoyed both the sunny upstairs deck and shady downstairs deck. Very responsive host when we accidentally locked ourselves out after a long walk on the beach :)

Wonderful getaway

Great place to stay, right on the beach! Watched dolphins from deck! Kitchen was well stocked and the bed was very comfortable. Nice being close to St. Augustine. Would definitely stay here again

It was alright

The host is super responsive and a good communicator. The house needs work- pictures look good online, but the place needs some tlc. I was not aware that the master was separate from the rest of the house. Its like two different rentals stacked on top of each other. The ceiling was leaking onto the bed post in the master. On the main floor the flooring around some of the air registers were mushy and sink in when you step on them.

We loved the location and were able to visit St. Augustine and Amelia Island from there. Beautiful uncrowded beach in September. We made the best of the rainy weather. St. Augustine is beautiful! The house had a few issues - the window on the main level was leaking badly and dripped all the way to the jnlaw suite’s door so we used towels to catch the drips. Our friends said they saw a lot of roaches in the inlaw suite, some of which walked on them during the night. The gas stove’s front burner dial came off and we needed assistance from the contractor to turn off the gas and the ignition. Other than that, we had a good time anyway.

Girls getaway

The location of the house is great. They have everything you need for the beach. The house was a little smaller than anticipated, but the room below is a bonus! The kitchen could be stocked a little better. There were 4 adults and only 2 wine glasses. Also we needed a pan to warm up chicken and there was none. They were minor things. I would recommend this house!

Great Escape Vacay

The location sells this house. The beach is rightcout the door, which is exactly what we wanted. And there were no crowds to deal with. Most of the time we nearly had the beach to ourselves. Yes, the house was on the small side, but it worked for us. I would have liked a bit more space in the 1st floor bathroom (particularly the vanity area) but we got by. Enjoyed spending time on the porches and the firepit area when we weren't on the beach. The host, Brian, responded promptly on the couple of occassions we needed something. I would recommend The Great Escape to anyone looking for a low key beach vacation.

Beautiful, Quiet Beach

The house is small, but very livable. The downstairs suite is very nice a large king bed, sitting area, and kitchen. The only thing that would have improved the stay is more counter/pantry space, but it Is simply a space limitation that we worked with. Air worked very well. If you shut the door to the bedroom area, it gets a bit warmer in the bedrooms, but the solution is to open the door separating the living space from the bedrooms. Overall, the house is small but clean and works well. Even though the house sits on A1A, you really don’t hear any traffic from inside the house. The location and proximity to the ocean is amazing! The sound of the waves is constant. We spent many afternoons on the deck downstairs while watching the ocean. The ocean is literally in the back yard. Due to limited public beach access, you feel as if it is a semi-private beach. Would recommend this house and would stay here again without hesitation!

Beautiful Beach!

The house was great for us! Our son and family stayed upstairs with their dogs and my husband and I stayed downstairs. It is a perfect set up so we could all have some privacy. As soon as you open the door the beach is RIGHT there. The beach is very private with just neighbors using it. Sometimes we were the only ones on the beach with no one insight. We enjoyed sitting outside on the rear decks, eating and playing games. The breeze you get off the ocean made it much cooler. We took a nap in the hammock, used some of the beach toys that was provided, and especially enjoyed taking a quick rinse in the outdoor shower. A hose is also provided to give the dogs a bath before taking them back inside. The downstairs has a twin recliner loveseat for watching tv or just reading a book and the bed was comfortable. Upstairs has a larger kitchen and table for eating meals together. (Smaller full kitchen downstairs). Brian quickly responded to any questions we had and we’d love to return in the future. Thank you Brian for letting us enjoy your beach house for the week!!

Great Stay

We had a great time at the house. On check in we couldn't get into the house but the owner communicated with us quickly and resolved the issue. There was five of us (all adults) and my brother had the downstairs all to himself which worked out great since he had his husky with him and our fur babies were not completely introduced to her. They slowly got to know each other and became friends. The view was unbelievable. You are really there for that view. You are just steps away from the beach. We even saw dolphins. We had our fur babies and my brother who is a veteran had his husky with him and they had a great time. The house does seem smaller than the picture but it worked out seamlessly. The only thing needed is just a few more kitchen utensils for cooking and potholders. We ate out most of the time but cooked dinner one of the days. I definitely recommend this home to anyone. Not crowded at all since we went the week before Memorial day. You will have a wonderful time and of course your fur babies.

Great location

The house is small but well appointed. Kitchen was very small with very little counter and cabinet space. The location is amazing!! Only steps from the very private beach. We also enjoyed the fire pit area. We had another couple join us for a few days and the downstairs suite was perfect for them.

If you’re looking for a vacation on the beach look no further. We stayed at the house most of the trip as we wanted as much time on the beach as possible. Private beach with immediate beach access as your back yard.

Oceanfront retreats

Our stay was wonderful. We can’t wait to go back. The house sits right on the ocean. We enjoyed our morning coffee sitting outside on the deck watching the ocean. The is a perfect beach house. The owners were a pleasure to work with. There are many things to do. St Augustine is only a few miles away which has some great restaurants. All in all it was great. I highly recommend it.

House is misrepresented in VRBO pictures

The house is cute and it has a great location but it is very small, the pictures make you feel it’s much spacious and comfortable than it actually is. That would be ok, but It was not properly cleaned, towels are of the worst quality, and bedding sheets as well. The closet on one of the bedrooms is full of trash, so you can’t use it as a closet. Kitchen supplies were old, in bad shape, incomplete, with only one wine glass available. The under sink cabinet was disgusting. Lots of dirt behind the TV sets, and stained upholstery on the sofa and reclining chair. The basement area was in much better shape, with a larger bathroom and more updated than the top/main floor. We had to replace the main bathroom’s curtain since it was yellow with mildew. The sink is tiny, with a faucet that is too long to comfortably wash your face or hands.The house has potential but needs major renovations. In the pictures, the main street seems far away but is actually very close, so it gets very noisy at night, with cars driving at high speeds. I contacted the owner asking if there was a hair dryer in the house and he answered two days later. I let him know we were leaving two days before the checkout date, and to send him videos of how we left everything in order, but ever heard from him… The house is located in an area of the beach where there seems to have been more hurricane damage. The houses on the southern area of the beach seemed in much better shape than this one or the few surrounding one…

We loved it

The Location was amazing. I don’t think we could’ve been any closer to the water without being in the water. At first it was just my husband and I but then we had some friends come stay for the weekend and they stayed in the mother-in-law suite downstairs. Watching the sunrise every morning wonderful and walking the beach so peaceful. In the two weeks we were there I probably saw 12 people on the beach. The host was amazing just 10 minutes down the road. The first day we were there, We had a little issue with the AC he was there and had it fixed in 20 minutes. Talk about great service. We went out to eat one night the rest of the time we cooked ourselves. The local restaurants- let’s just say I was not impressed- but there is a Publix Grocery store just down the road. We will definitely be staying here again.
