Glad you enjoyed your time at our space with the grandkids, Deb. We do call out the hot tub being shared with other guests in the property description and photos along with the Welcome Guide sent to each guest. We do have a couple of other ways to access the space that avoid the stairs and will take a look at the basketball game. Encourage you to work with your hosts during the stay to help resolve any issues that come up vs. mentioning in review afterward when it's too late to help :).

Glad you enjoyed your stay! We do try to make it clear in the description, pictures and welcome guide that the backyard and hot tub are a shared space. I believe there was only one couple staying in the other space and there wasn't much overlap but sorry to hear you didn't have as much privacy as you thought you would. Safe Travels!

We strive for a 5-star experience and ask our guests to please let us know what we can do if that isn't the case. Unfortunately, we weren't given the opportunity to resolve these concerns during the stay as we didn't receive them until the review afterward. So will try to address this for future guests. In general: please let us know what you need and we'll try to get it for you :). 1) We have over 5 pages of instructions in the Welcome Guide in VRBO that is sent to each guest prior to their stay (also available in VRBO app). We highly encourage guests to review it and let us know of any questions/concerns they have prior to or during the stay. 2) We haven't had guests request separate towels for the hot tub, but can certainly provide more if needed. Just send us a message :) 3) We don't have a washer/dryer listed as one of the Amenities, so not sure why one was expected (though we are working on adding one very soon). 4) Issues with the air hockey, basketball, amazon prime, etc. Send us a message and we'll do our best to help fix asap. 5) Mini-Fridge: We're working on adding a full-size fridge very soon. In the meantime, the listing accurately states in the Amenities that it's a mini-fridge so you know what to expect. 6) BBQ lighter not working. There should be a separate lighter for the BBQ and also one for the fireplace. If it's not there or working, sends us a message and we'll get you one that is :) 7) Limited silverware, glassware, and utensils: Let us know what you need more of and we'll get it for you. 8) Apologies for the noise upstairs. We do have the following in the Welcome Guide but didn't hear from you: "Note: This space is the basement of our home, so you will hear noise from the residents upstairs (voices, walking, etc.). We want you to enjoy your stay so please feel free to send us a message if it gets too loud and we will do the same:)." In addition, we went downstairs to apologize for the smoke alarm being set off, where your children indicated everything was ok.

Thanks for your review Oviett. Apologies the batteries died in the door lock keypad and you couldn't get a hold of us while we had both stepped away from our phones for 30 min. We hadn't received the requested ETA so didn't know when to expect you and be available for your check-in:). We've added a backup key in case the code doesn't work. The hot tub is off to the side of the french doors by 10'+. We haven't had any other guests mention it being awkward and would need more details to try and better address this. Thanks!
