This was a fine place to spend a few days on the Olympic Peninsula. The space is part of what is essentially an appealingly manicured and nicely kept up grounded mobile home park overlooking an impressive water vista. Each lot seems to be themed with a bird motif like sparrows, peacocks, and eagles â our Hen House was done up with cute chicken-and-egg decor! We had a very short walk to the main viewing point, where we saw an absolutely sensational sunset, viewed boats in the distance, and spied a couple bald eagles roosting in nearby tall trees. The nature trails are neat and worth walking, though some of them were kind of steep. The beach trail would be pretty tough for those who have any kind of mobility issues, but the destination is worth it if you can do it. Thereâs a little lagoon with croaking frogs and a beach thatâs part sand and part rocks that has big pieces of driftwood on it for that classic PNW look and feel.We appreciated the well-appointed kitchen, especially suited for coffee and tea drinkers. Everything we needed was provided for in the kitchen, laundry, and bathrooms. The master suite had a really comfy bed and a nice soaking tub.The deck gave us wonderful views of snow-capped peaks. The location is highly accessible to Olympic National Park. Lake Crescent, Sol Duc Falls, and Hurricane Ridge are all within an hourâs drive. We were well satisfied with our lodging choice.
