WINTER SPECIAL - Stay 2 or more nights Sunday to Thursday between 1 May and 19 Sept 2025 and receive a 15% discount on nightly rate, excludes school holidays and long weekends.

This comfortable double brick home stays cool in Summer and warm in Winter, has beautiful wooden floors throughout and is family and pet friendly. The home has three bedrooms and comfortably sleeps 7 people. Master bedroom with BIR - one queen bed. Bedroom 2 - one double bed and one single bed. Bedroom 3 - one queen bed. The modular lounge can sleep an extra person.
Rejuvenated bathroom with separate shower and large cast iron bath.
Rejuvenated kitchen with lots of accessories.

Property features include large north facing merbau deck enclosed by a pergola that provides privacy and comfort no matter what the weather when entertaining or just lounging about.
The indoor dining area has seating for 6, while the undercover outdoor area has seating for 8. There's also an outdoor courtyard with a table and chairs.

Additional features:
Secure fences and child-safe gates, and the huge backyard provides plenty of room for dogs to roam and is visually appealing for children to explore and play.
Recently rejuvenated laundry with smart washing machine and dryer, Elna press and iron/ironing board.
Separate indoor and external toilets.
Split system in lounge. All bedrooms have ceiling fans, portable heaters and electric blankets on each bed.
Modern Webber BBQ that does all types of cooking including roasts and pizzas
Plenty of parking in driveway and lock-up rear yard for boats, trailers and caravans
Large Sony TV and DVD player which plays CDs.
Classic and Australiana video library, magazines, novels, board games for all ages and children's toys
Children’s swing set, large trampoline, hammock, table tennis table, totem tennis etc.
Doggie basket, bowls and a dog kennel.
First aid kit, fire extinquisher, smoke alarms.
Please note: Small to medium dogs are most welcome inside, but please refrain from allowing pets on the furniture or in laundry, toilets or bedrooms. Also please limit smoking to outside.

My daughter's family stayed here- and we had our family Christmas lunch on the deck. The gardens (and whole property) are a credit to Will. The grandchildren had so much space to find a place to be together or some quiet time for themselves. The doggies loved the garden as well!

It felt like we were intruding into a family's home - a home that was lived in by the family but had gone away during time we were there? Amenities were fair. No breakfast items. Backyard was a good size. Ideal for dogs. (We did not take our dog).

Very clean and tidy. Dogs loved the backyard. Stayed a couple of nights as one of our dogs competed at the flyball nationals in Geelong.
Our dogs are very well travelled and behaved. Here is a photo of them on their own mats in the TV room.

Disappointing

We arrived on Friday 1st August, with our 3 dogs. We had been advised by the owner that we would need to make sure the gate was properly shut to stop our dogs from escaping. When we did our initial rounds of the garden, we noticed the loose gate and moved 2 of the wheelie bins to stop it opening. We then let our dogs run in the garden. However, we were not advised or noticed that there was a secondary gate at the other side of the property which had been left wide open . 2 of our dogs escaped onto the road and my wife in her effort to chase after them fell down the hole that has been left where a drain pipe is being replaced. She grazed her hand and bruised her knee's. This is clearly a safety hazzard and should have been fenced off. We also discovered an amount of dog poop in the garden from a previous tenant.Inside was dusty. Incredibly the DVD was not connected to the TV because it lacked a HDMI socket. Given the amazing number of DVDS that have been stored at the property we weren't able to watch a single one, which was very disappointing.

Portarlington winter stay

The house is very well cared for, with large properly fenced backyard and great size undercover deck, lovely garden is home for many native birds.Basic supplies present with Woolworth just around the corner.Excellent location. Seamless check-in and check-out.Very responsive and flexible hosts.Loved it, planning to return next winter for slightly longer stay. Many thanks to our hosts.

Relaxing and homely in brilliant location

We had a fantastic stay here and already plan to return. The convenient location within walking distance of everything we needed in Portarlington was brilliant, but when not out and about we spent most of our time on the back deck watching the birds enjoy the expansive garden. Family and friends joined us for the weekends, and there was plenty of space for all of us. Thank you, Will and family, for sharing your lovely home.

A quiet oasis with everything we needed

Just what we needed

Our group stayed over Christmas and was exactly what we needed for a group getaway, we used the kitchen to cook our Christmas Day lunch and the town was quiet but close to the wineries, breweries and the adventure water park that we had planned for our trip. The only thing that we missed was having a smart tv, but we made do with the dvd collection and free to air cricket!
