We enjoyrd our stay very much. Lovely hotel with helpful staff! The room was way to hot the first night but that was fixed immediately when we told the staff. Great breakfast with perfect service and cleanliness! We would love to return!

Fint hotell som inte levde upp till sina stjärnor
Ett hotell med utmärkt läge både när det kommer till spårvagn, metro och tåg. Stilfull interiör och trevligt bemötande. Rummet var renstädat och skyddat ljudmässigt från rum som låg intill. Tyvärr var vårt rum dock beläget vid hissarna där det också fanns fåtöljer. I dessa fåtöljer spenderade av någon anledning ofta irriterande gäster sin tid där de satt och pratade otroligt högt och lät sina småbarn "leka av sig". Sängen var tyvärr alltför mjuk för att vara bekväm. Frukosten var tyvärr mer tilltalande på foton än i verkligheten. Bacon var alltid alltför hårt stekta och pannkakorna var inte varma utan mer vissna och ledsna. Hade nog hoppats på lite mer av hotellet då det ändå fått så pass goda recensioner. Ett bra hotell för ett par nätter men inte för en längre vistelse som vi hade. Om detta hotell varit trestjärnigt eller rentav fyrstjärnigt så hade vissa av sakerna som nämnts kanske inte varit så värt att poängtera, men för ett femstjärnigt hotell väntade vi oss något mer.

Charmigt och centralt boende vid gamla stan. Mindre garage under hotellet där jag fick bilen tvättad för 17 EUR. Frukost med omelettservice. Nöjda och kommer gärna tillbaka.

Ok hotel, läget
It was a good hotel for the location. Tidy room and friendly staff. For me this was definitely not a 5 star hotel. More 3,5 because of the breakfast that did not live up to 5 star standard, dry bread and dull scramble eggs as examples. And that interior (even though everything was tidy) is a bit... out of fashion. BUT, as i say´d, good location, and good price for the rooms.

Location, location, location
Perfectly located in the centre, close to shopping, old town and more! Very pleasant and service-minded staff. On the minus side, the bed was a tad hard. Nice breakfast, though the cut vegetables and fruit seemed to have been cut hours prior to brekfast. Great egg and omelette station, omelettes prepared quickly upon order! The restaurant (ground floor) could be made a bit more cosy, perhaps with less fierce lights? Can’t say anything about the wifi since we didn’t use it. All in all, we would definitely stay here again!

Do not disturb
Fast jag hade hängt en "Please, do not disturb" skylt på dörren när jag lämnade rummet så gick städpersonalen in i rummet och bäddade min säng, tömde papperskorgen och bytte handdukar. Vänligen hade de meddelat mig genom att hänga en ytterligare skylt utanpå den gamla som sa: Att jag skulle vara medveten att de har gått in i rummet och bäddat min säng. Perosneln stängde ner locket på min dator vilket medförde att överföringen av data med USA inte gick att genomföra. Samt att det fanns papper i papperskorgen som jag hade behövt senare på kvällen men nu var de borta genom att papperskorgen var tömd. Tog upp det med Manager on Duty men fick väldigt liten förståelse för mitt problem/ upplevelse. Det man erbjöd mig i kompensation var att jag skulle få en uppgradering av rums typ nästa gång var i stan. Mycket märkligt agerande för att vara ett sådant fint hotell.Har svårt att rekommendera hotellet till andra med tanke på att detta kan kanske hända igen.

He really tryed to do our best and make you satisfied. I do understand very well, that you are very experienced traveller. We provided our service and operated your room with the feel to make you happy and satisfied here. You stayed in one of our best rooms, very well equipped and maintained. I do understand, that our colleague from houskeeping were supposed to follow strictly DND card on the handle, but your request to have a accommodation for free (another solution would notn make you happy and staisfied) says more about yout travelling experiences than about our bad service. Rocky start but ended well.
We arrived at the hotel, ready to make full use of our afternoon especially after having lost time on our flight being delayed only to be told there wasn't a room. Turned out they were overbooked (the receptionist cooked up a story about a sick guest who had to be go to the hospital), and we were to be sent to the sister hotel, we were told The Imperial by the receptionist, but turned out to be the Cosmopolitan, so after another bit of confusion after arriving at the Imperial we went across the road to the Cosmopolitan. The front office manager at the Art Nouveau Palace was very apologetic and very polite as was the one at The Cosmopolitan. This is the first time something like this has happened to us in all our years of travelling. They sent a bottle of Spumante and chocolates up to the room as an apology and the next day our bags were taken over back to The Art Nouveau Place and we were upgraded to a suite, and offered a 3 course dinner at the hotel restaurant. It is never nice to be told you don't have your room when you arrive in a city but this was handled quite well by the Front Office Manager, and we enjoyed the rest of our stay in Prague. The Art Nouveau Palace Hotel location was excellent and after all the first hours of stress we did have a comfortable stay at the hotel.

Far from five stars!
Given the great reviews of this five star hotel I arrived with high expectations, unfortunately they where not at all met even though the location is great for discovering Prague by foot and pick-up at the airport was effective. At check-in I got a twin room despite requesting a double room when making the reservation (reception fixed that after a visit down stairs), my "Deluxe" room was rather standard and the pictures are no doubt optimistic regarding colors and size, WiFi is unreliabe at best, damaged shower towels was being used and one day a bottle of cleaning detergent had been left in the bathroom.

A great hotel in a great city
cheaper than most 5-star hotels but just as luxurious.

Buffet breakfast is very good. Location biggest asset. Staff were helpful when asked questions but there is an opportunity to be more proactivly engaging by for example asking " is this your first time to Prague?" and then providing some appropriate advice. Many guests are probably over 65 many may not know when they arrive that they can ride on the public transportation for free. If you mentioned that and provided basic information on how to best use it would make clients very appreciative. Bloomberg news or 1 Japanese station are the only english channels on tv, adding at least BBC or CNN would be an improvement. Exit from the bathroom had a toe stubbing and falls danger door sill that should be "ramped". Access to electric outlets is poor for connecting charging devices. Hall and interior carpets appear to be getting near there useful life.

We really enjoyed our stay and appreciated the unexpected room upgrade. Our room was a lot bigger than I'm used to in Europe and it even came with a sauna! The room decor was quite impressive and the bottle of chilled champagne was a nice touch. To add to that, the complimentary items in the mini fridge was over the top. Very nice! If there's one thing that i can nit-pick about the room, it's the slight odor that comes from the toilet. We're guessing that it's due to the building and sewer system being so old. Other than that, the room was perfect. The breakfast on the second floor was decent and the service staff was nice enough.
