Nestled in the cozy and quiet Hale Moi complex in Princeville, our spacious Studio suite condo is perfect to serve as your home base as you explore the awe-inspiring beauty of the North Shore (and beyond) of Kauai. The condo is less than a 5 minute walk to multiple beaches and the newly opened restaurants and spa at the 1Hotel Hanalei.

The View

The view from our condo is a spectacular showcase of the unspoiled beauty of Kauai. Off the lanai to the right, take in a breathtaking view of Makana Mountain, the oceanside mountain peak made famous as Bali Hai in the movie South Pacific. Enjoy sunsets right on the lanai as the evening sky comes alive with a kaleidoscope of tropical color. Looking directly off the lanai (or from the inside of the studio) is a lush, tropical greenbelt (alive with birds chirping in the morning) and the Namolokama mountain range. After rain showers, you can see one, two, or even dozens of cascading waterfalls. Experience it all without leaving your condo!

The Accommodations

Our Studio suite is a second-floor unit (up only 6 steps) with vaulted ceilings, a private 75-square foot lanai with breathtaking views, a great kitchenette, beach gear, and everything to make your stay cozy and comfortable. One of the best things about our complex, Hale Moi, is it is small and low-key - our building has just four condos. The condo has a king bed with Serta plush top mattress, a super comfy living area with love sofa and chair, dining table, a 37" flat panel TV, and two ceiling fans. The kitchenette is well-stocked with a mini-fridge/microwave/toaster oven/coffee maker/hot plate/dishes/etc. (and you can of course use the gas and charcoal BBQs on the property). Overall, it's light and airy, full of aloha, and truly a lot for your money!

A/C & Heat

The suite has a quiet and efficient AC and heating system - It never hurts to have A/C, as Kauai is guaranteed to get hot and humid in summer, but also at any time of year. And if you're coming in winter, it's nice to have heat - overnight lows on Kauai can dip near 60 degrees!

The Location

Our condo is special for many reasons and a major one is location. Hale Moi is in one of the only areas in Princeville where you have beach access within walking distance. Two beaches are within a ten minute walk, with the closest being Pu'u Po'a beach in front of the newly renovated 1 Hotel. Right outside the front door is the scenic jog/walk/bike path that runs through Princeville, and across the street is a famous sunset viewing spot (Voted one of the 10 ten sunset viewing locations by Traveler Magazine), which is also great for whale watching if you’re with us during the season (Nov-April). Gorgeous Hanalei Bay is a 10 minute drive and for hikers, several trails are within reach, including the Okolehao trail in Hanalei and the infamous Kalalau Trail. If golf is your thing, the Makai golf course (recently renovated) is a half-mile away. For an easy dinner out, Hideaways Pizza Pub is a 5 minute walk. Princeville Center is a 5 minute drive and has a grocery store, coffee shop, yoga studios, shopping, and more.
