“This was a great stay! It was luxurious to have so much space! Conveniently located to all the attractions in Amboise, and a winery a literal stone’s throw away. One downside was no internet or wifi, and within the house the signal was poor- had to pop outside a few times when internet was needed. We would definitely stay again! ”

“Schönes kleines Haus mit sehr schönem Innenhof, den wir bei super Wetter auch gerne genutzt haben. Ruhige Lage in einer Seitenstraße ca. 18 Minuten Fussweg vom Schloss entfernt (Lage entspricht nicht den Angaben). Restaurants und Innenstadt sind gut zu Fuss zu erreichen. Mit dem Fahrrad ist man schnell an der Loire (Loire-Radweg und Schlösser) Können es nur weiterempfehlen.”

“Nous avons adoré notre séjour à Reugny dans la maison de Linette et Jean-Charles, des hôtes très agréables qui nous ont offert un logement impeccable, tel que décrit dans leur annonce, et frais, malgré la température élevée (les volets étaient fermés de jour et la maison aérée la nuit). À noter que les chambres de l'étage sont équipées de ventilateurs - très appréciés. La maison est spacieuse et bien aménagée - nous étions 8, dont 2 enfants. Il y avait un grand terrain dont ont profité nos deux...

“Amazing property in a vineyard. Francine and Claude are very welcoming and friendly. They gave lots of helpful suggestions for activities. The cottage has everything you need, great kitchen, bedroom and living spaces. We stayed for five nights and it was not enough. I look forward to staying again sometime! “Lovely spacious house in the grounds of the chateaux surrounded by fields and woodland. The house is well appointed, extremely comfortable and the delightful owner lives next door and made us feel very welcome. No internet connection and having to hire bed linen at an extra cost is unusual in my experience of using VRBO across Europe but nevertheless this is a perfect house to stay in to explore the real beauty of the Loire Valley. And the exquisite boulangerie and patisserie a few minutes walk...

“Place was excellent, great for a cycling trip with work mates. Slight issue when we turned up, but Giles sorted out straight away. Place was great five stars all over. The only thing that was annoying was the flies. Thousands of them. We went out and bought about ten fly strips which when we put up had hundreds of flies on them. Rooms were excellent, massive fire place which was great. Hot water always there and a great swimming pool. It was a bit damp and musky in the downstairs bedrooms....

“We have had such a wonderful stay in this cosy and well equipped cabin. Although it's small everything you could possibly need was there. It was super clean and comfortable and set in the most beautiful garden. The bathroom/shower were excellent and the bed felt very snug behind its curtains. The air-conditioning was also much appreciated. We were able to walk easily into Amboise in around 10 minutes. The vires for he deck is lovely and we thoroughly enjoyed sitting outside in the peaceful...

“Tres bonne Premiere expérience Troglodyte; Venus en automne en famille pour quelques jours. Julie et Gregory Sont très chaleureux, le logement est très propre et joliment décoré, le jardin est superbe et la vue magnifique (orienté ouest, surplombant la Loire). Côté équipement, lits confortables, cuisine petite mais fonctionnelle et douche parfaite. A refaire”

Humid, smelly, run down, not worth it

"This hotel has pretty pictures of the exterior but it is quite run down.We had tywo rooms booked - one in the main building which was ok... not worth the money though - and another room in the rock wall which was completely unusable. It was so humid and moldy one could barely breath in there. The dehumidifier had stopped working because it was full. We tried to make it work but it was too much; we asked very nicely if they would please grant us a refund because we simply could not stay in that room but the owners refused, saying we should have canceled 24 hours ahead (when we had not seen or smelled the room). This hotel is NOT a pleasant place to stay and definitely not worth the rate."
