Prisvärt boende med bra mat trots att det är Karibien. Resorten har gått om återkommande gäster. Finns egentligen ingenting att klaga på.

We had a great couple of days at Gran Ventana. Check in was quick and we got to go straight to the lunch buffet. We enjoyed the food both at the buffet and in the other restaurants. Staff was very friendly and helpful. There’s another pool in a peaceful and quiet area. We also appreciated the use of washable cups and no straws, to benefit the environment. House wine is not great, but there are other options.

The property stay was good overall. The rooms could use some renovations (and I was in a supposedly renovated room). It is difficult to get reservations for ala carte restaurants if you don’t book them immediately upon arrival for the entire week. It is also difficult to get beach/pool towels.

It is quite spacious resort with plenty of space around the pool and on the beach. The location of three open bars was very convenient. The only drawback for me was the constant state of competition between the guests to get a seat next to the pool and dry towel in the morning and a chair in the lounging area in the evening. It seams that They did not have enough space for all guests or there was a flow in the design. People working there were very polite and helpful except for the front desk attendents. When I approached them with the request, they asked me to come back in half an hour because they needed that time to come up with resolution. When i came back, another attendant had no idea about my request and other attendant left home. He just shrugged his shoulders, hearing that I was dismissed with nothing. Until this interaction, I tried to tip every helper after that, i just shrugged my shoulders.

This was our second time there. We will go back for the people and atmosphere. Getting water and coffee served at breakfast was difficult this time. It was the one place you didn’t see a lot of servers. There was more of an urgency to turn over dishes and towels which probably took away from service.

Phone in room never worked. Even after complaining to the front desk. Had to constantly walk to the front desk for requests. No shuffle service to the airport as advertised. Towels and sheets were damp when exchanged by housekeeping. No WiFi in room.

Bath/shower water in room did not work at first. There was no water pressure. It eventually came on after waiting an hour. We were also told that a shuttle would be available to go to the airport and this was not the case, the free shuttle only picks you up from the airport. It will not return you there.

We are very pleased with the clean beach! A lot of places are plagued with seaweeds problems. They kept the beach very clean. The food, presentation is not the best, but the flavors are quite good. Staff members are very friendly and attentive. Only issue was the noise associated with our room. There is a work site with a lot of construction noise on the back side of the building. Over all we enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this resort.

We’ve been there many times and have met done great staff at the GV which has led us to returning often. However, the gym/fitness center needs attention. Machines have been broken for months, there are never any towels in the morning and it opens too late (7 am) in the morning. Many people like us wake up early and want to work out. Thank you

The service was exceptional and the cleanliness was on point. We always saw someone cleaning picking up cups.. I would recommend. If you are looking for state of art place, this is not it. But if you are looking for a place to meet new ppl laugh and have a peaceful vacation, THIS IS THE PLACE.

The people are wonderful from the minute you check in until you leave. The bed is not a king size bed but more like a queen. Comfy though. Pillows were small compared to normal pillows. Food at the beach grill is the same everyday. Basic stuff, nachos, burgers, pizza. The same with the buffet in main dining room. We did eat at Octopus and the food was great. They have their own brand of alcohol at the resort. I can honestly say I don't know what proof it is but my guess is 20 LOL.I am used to my 80 proof vodka and theirs was not even close. Hats off to Ernesto and Nazir at the bars.

Pros and cons. The only con is that it is hard to get a Notification for your airport shuttle pick up and Expedia is no good in helping. For the rest it is pros. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The food is good. Nothing to brag about, but does the job is nice. The beach is clean.And the pool is nice. It is close to the airport. I would stay there again

The shuttle is not free! They gave me a room with a broken bed. The staff didn’t know any questions that I had. The spa is a closet! It had a nail salon and hair salon and a small spa bed for massages. They had no elevator for people for wheelchairs and had me on the third floor. It’s a retirement community resort, they didn’t have anything for young people. The room that my friend bought wasn’t what she asked for and had to pay extra for what she already pay for! It is not all inclusive, it’s semi all inclusive. I asked for a mamosa from the “all inclusive bar” and they said only certain people were allowed to have them.

I like the distance of the places to go inside the properly. I do not like: Gran Ventana does not have a disc place. Gran Ventana only have have show for adult at 9:00 to 10:30 pm. Food is okay. Customer service is terrible! Not iron in the room. The rooms have have some receptacles damaged. Fist impression was they did not have water, soda, and beers in one of the room refrigerator. Gran Ventana did not meet expectations.

Building 3 is the worst building. The rooms are old with many broken things. We had to change our room. Manager Anthony is only available in the morning. If you miss him you have to wait till the next day to resolve your issue. Other staff won't help you. There were not enough beach loungers, and the pool looked dirty. Overall, the staff is relaxed and they look like they don't care. The tables were not always clean. We often had to wait and ask the staff to bring us coffee and water. I am not going back here. If you want to buy something or order a taxi they always jack up the prices because you're a foreigner. These people need to learn that the tourists give them jobs and they should treat the tourists better.

Me and my friends spent our college spring break for 4 days at VH gran. For the very low price we paid, we got what we would expect. The food to say the least was subpar. At the lunch shack at the beach (Ocean grill) the food was worse than any movie theater I’ve been to. I was shocked to see so many adults indulge in it. The restaurants were slightly better, however overall do not come here for good food. The drinks were good for being unlimited, but the alcohol is definitely bottom shelf. The crowd here is not for a college spring break. Average age is 60s. The vibe here is something. The service wasn’t bad and the room was nice enough, though our water shut off twice. The wifi only works in the lobby. The entertainment ends at 10:30pm which we thought was boring. And the only people who are engaging in it are over 70. However, the beach was definitely the highlight and the scenery is gorgeous. The pool is a little dirty and everything else is a little dirty here and there. We went snorkeling and kayaking which was actually great. We thought the dinners at the restaurants were good, but definitely only after a lot of drinks. Overall, I won’t be coming back to the VH gran, it did its job for a budget spring break, but then again wouldn’t recommend for anyone below the age of 50.

First off i want too say that all the staff are excellent and friendly and very helpful with anything you need and knowledgeable.The front end associate niulka is one of the best people i have encountered when it comes too customer service she was knowledgeable with anything and everything i asked and needed i called in advance because me and my girlfriend were going together and wanted too propose too her and have the room set up very romantic when we checked in and she had it just the way i had ask and planned it and my now fiance loved it!!! She also helped with reservations for restaurants on property and everything what a great employee you have and she deserves somekind of reward in my eyes.Also i can not complain about any of the food in the restaurants the buffets throught the day the drinks everything was amazing it was definitely worth money and would definitely be coming back again . The only downfall was one of the days for 3 hours they were doing a maintenance on the generators so we didnt have power no water or anything like that in the rooms but it was only for 3 hours and it was a really nice day so it was just more time too enjoy the sun and pools so it wasnt really that bad at all and also i was checking our very early way before check out time and i actually missed my flight and next flight wasnt till 10 hours and called resort and they let me come back and stay in my room till check out was great will definitely come back here

This place was horrible. It's boring. It looked like a Nursing Home for Seniors citizens. Its over price for the quality of service given. The food doesn't have any flavor. Staff are not in the mood or bored. To top it off if there's no electricity, theres no water. I will never go again.

Door lock didn't work multiple times, unable to get into room. Bathtub plug didn't function. Only cold water on first night there. Food quality was poor with very limited options for dairy and gluten free. Last lunch there I got food poisoning. Still suffering over a week later. They did offer me a free late check out and gave us a new room to stay in. And the staff were wonderful not just with us but especially with the kids. Overall though it felt like a cheap dirty old all inclusive.
