We had a great stay at Ocean el Faro el Beso.
Miguel our concierge from expedia was extremely helpful and followed up with hotel right away about any requests we had (housekeeping, decorating the room for my husband's birthday)
On our last day Miguel had one of the restaurants surprise us with a birthday cake it was a really sweet gesture.
The resort is beautiful and we liked the walk from our room to the amenities.
Somethings that need to change is resort staff trying to be your concierge just to send the guest to a presentation for "membership" in exchange of a free gift. It was so annoying and the agents got upset when we declined to make any purchases. It took half of our day from vacation. They were disappointed as if we set this meeting with them and then declined to continue. Dont put off your guests like that. No one is coming on a vacation to spend more money on a membership.
The 2nd thing i would suggest is to have housekeeping clean the rooms properly. Everything was cleaned on the surface but not deep cleaned.
We dont eat meat traveling but there were enough option at the buffet for vegetarians. The lunch buffet has the most options. The restaurants were not bad, we enjoyed sakura and margareita. The italian place was horrible except the dessert was good.
