This Christmas season was overwhelmingly busy and getting staff during peak season and with 24 beach club requirements was not an easy feat. Thank you kindly for your response. The beach club rooms are unfortunately next to the 24 hour restaurants and beach club. All gusts are informed of this at check in and in fact, a waiver is also signed at time of check in specifically informing all guests. There is hot water in all the rooms, however, there are times during peak hours where the hot water may not be sufficient to supply to everyone especially during the Christmas season since we were overwhelmingly booked up. The pool is for guests that rent from our signature properties only, however, as a special added privilege Jay allowed you to enter the premises and use the pool at your convenience. Good day. Thank you kindly for your feedback. Firstly, the music is always turned down at 12 midnight every night except for celebratory nights i.e. New Years Eve. Your room was situated near the restaurant area which is open 24 hours for your convenience and I apologize if the employees made too much noise but they were working to provide food and beverages to over 308 guest rooms that were fully booked during the holidays. With regards to smelling like "weed" I am not sure what you are referring to as we do not permit any illicit contraband in our establishment. Regarding the mosquitos, we fumigate all the rooms and common areas daily but unfortunately after a rainfall it is common to have mosquitos in the tropics especially since your room was directly on the beach. The bar staff have mosquito repellant sprays that could have helped you but you did not mention it to anyone until this review. The price for the large souvlaki dinner is $30 USD plus taxes which are obligatory (18% sales tax and 10% service tax in the Dominican Republic). Regarding the shampoos, you were never forced to buy anything. For $28 USD per night (what you paid per night for your accommodation including taxes) there is unfortunately no budget or shampoos, only a bar of soap which we give complimentary. However, we have considered your comments and perhaps will consider raising the room prices slightly to purchase these sundries for our guests. Frankly for an air conditioned, beach front room with 24 hour room service, television and hot water, during the Christmas Holidays, is a deal and a half considering neighboring hotels (not on the beach) were charging easily double this amount. My staff also told me that you and your girlfriend were treated like gold and they did everything in their power to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. I am frankly very surprised with this review but am very thankful for you taking the time to share your thoughts. You also signed a form acknowledging this information and receptionist Esther offered you a alternate room which you refused because you said you wanted to be on the beach. Also, the music is turned down every night at 12 midnight, but I understand the beach area is still noisy even after hours because we operate 3, 24 hour restaurants for the 308 guest rooms.
