“The hotel is comprises of a main building and some houses and annexes. Sadly, the room we were given was in a damp annexe, and to our surprise when we opened the door there was someone in there! The receptionist apologised and gave us another room in the main building. The room was ok and clean, but we didn’t have water to shower either so our experience was overall okay. “The overall stay at Purbeck House was okay. We had a very interesting mini tour with Alex. Our room was on two levels and very spacious . It would have benefitted from some artwork on the walls. Also, a proper bathmat. I nearly slipped over getting out of the bath as the textured surface is small. The shower gel bottles are a waste of time. They are very small and it was difficult to actually squeeze the gel out. Considering the price I would have expected bottled water. There was a wedding on...

“Great rural location (i am not a golfer), really nice room, clean and comfortable and reasonably stylish. Only let downs were; paper thin walls so could hear quiet conversations in the adjacent rooms, and a noisy shower (neighbour showered at 1am!). it was a heatwave; room fans were provided but it would have been good to fully ventilate the rooms. Due to work commitments i had to leave before breakfast so can't comment on that.”
