“Such a hidden gem. This place is more than a stay. It's an experience. Things to note are that you have to take a small boat to reach the property so pack light. The nature and beach are beautiful. The rooms are comfortable, clean and the perfect blend of shelter and being one with nature. The restaurant on site is superb with quality organic ingredients that create art on a plate. Staff is friendly, approachable and super helpful. Can't wait to come back. ”

“First, the pictures of this house do not do it justice. It is gorgeous in every sense and was more beautiful in person. We lived in the outdoor spaces when we weren’t sleeping- dining in the terrace, hanging out at the pool(s), or on the pool deck watching the ocean with a cocktail or coffee. The host, Jose, was very responsive and timely in responding to my questions before and during the trip. He had some excellent recommendations for dinner but told me Fide and Carmelita’s cooking is so good...

“I can't say enough about our stay at Villa Mercedes. It was the pefect place to relax and spend time with family and friends for my son's wedding in Mismaloya. ”

“We loved this property but recognize the steep walk up and 55 steps down to our room might not be for everyone. It was just fine for us because the only noise was the sound of waves against the rocks below our room. Also, communication was excellent for us due to problems with Expedia but our hostess patient and helpful. The rooftop patio was lovely with great views of the harbour. The apartment was spacious with very comfortable furniture. ”

“Very clean and spacious but there should be some mention about the amount of stairs you need to take to get down to the Hacienda. There are about 12-13 flights of stairs that you have to climb. It was tough for little kids and impossible for elderly. Aside from that, nice views, clean pool and friendly staff. ”
