“The Royal Palm offers a truly immersive Galápagos experience—set inland on a stunning 100 acre property, far from the touristy feel of the ports. Recently under new ownership, the property is being refreshed: rooms are spacious and renovated, the pool has been redone, and quiet renovations are underway, including apparently a unique lava tunnel spa. “What a perfect way to experience the Galapagos islands! So happy my wife and I chose Semilla Verde Boutique Hotel over a hotel in the town. The grounds are wonderful. We walked the paths and saw the tortoises multiple times per day. It was an easy 10 minute taxi into town for tours, restaurants and other activity when we needed it. “We had a lovely night at the lodge. It was a family run hotel who made us feel so welcome.
The bed was huge and comfortable, the family were on hand for absolutely anything. They even came running out with umbrellas as we headed out for a walk in the rain.
The food was fresh and delicious. Breakfast was served outside our room on the veranda, which was fantastic and quite simply the best omelette I have ever tasted.

“Super clean. Nicely decorated, loved the floors and tiles. Bedroom was spacious although there was a king and a full. The owner was nice and helpful, offered packed breakfast early one day we had a super early tour. There was an issue with our boat to change island so we couldn't leave and he immediately allowed us to stay in our room untill everything was solved, well after checkout time, and accommodated us in the same room for a final extra night.”
