Frida's by the Sea Beach House

This 100 year old house offers a rustic & retro beach house experience. Kept simple, comfortable, it offers classic fun including jigsaws, games & yes a TV & DVD & we've recently added wifi. It is only a 5 minute bush walk to stunning Blackhead Beach or 10 minutes through a sub-tropical rainforest to the shops. Once you've arrived there's no need to get in your car til you're ready to go home.

The space
This is a much loved beach house & a great place to unwind, get active & reconnect with yourself & your family. There are ocean baths, beach walking & exploring to do with a patrolled swimming beach (school holidays). We are dog friendly on request, unfortunately we don’t host cats. If you want to bring your dogs please let us know what breeds and how many and we'll confirm if that's ok. It's a dog friendly beach, however the fencing is only about 1.2 metres high so best for small dogs and the neighbours have dogs too, so one's that don't get too barky would be welcome.

Frida's is close to the beach and catches a great ocean breeze, there are ceiling fans in the bedrooms and living area, and we've recently added ducted air-conditioning.
We've recently added wifi, so apologies to those wanting a wifi free holiday, there is good mobile coverage from Telstra & Optus, other providers are variable.

The bathroom has a shower over its clawfoot bath, it’s a little curvy on the bottom and maybe unstable for some, we have a great ensuite shower as well & an outdoor shower with hot and cold.

We are LGBTIQ friendly and this is the perfect honeymoon venue!

Frida's has a wrap around verandah on two sides, it's like a room outside and you can move with the sun or hide in the shade. On one side the veranda is about 1 metre in height without railings and that's why we've recommended not suitable for children under 3 years, you can use your own judgement.

Fabulous “Fridas “
We had a fabulous 4 nights at “Fridas” with our new puppy an a few family members . Very comfortable eclectically decorated home with a well stocked pantry and functional kitchen . Beds very comfy with two full bathrooms. Yard was fully fenced to stop escaping puppy. Short 200 mtr walk to beach access Highly recommend! Chris W

Relaxing break
We loved the cozy ‘old style’ atmosphere of this charming property. The wide veranda with a breeze to sit around reading or having a cuppa. Books and DVD library. Short walk to the (unpatrolled) section of the beach. We didn’t enjoy the smoke alarm that randomly and loudly went off on several nights in the wee small hours. Drove us crazy! Overall however, a pleasant break.

We loved the beautiful home with so much to see / do so many extras. As we are older and my partner has dementia the house was a little confusing with all the rooms leading from each other, however our dog loved it! It was a wonderful relaxing place to visit and we thoroughly enjoyed it thank you

Lovely old house, great location to just chill and do the things we did as kids, like swim and fish , laze on the verandah or beach , read a book ,play a board game . We went off grid had no computers , no TV (our choice) just the radio and the sound of the numerous birds that visited the garden .

Frida's by the sea.
Such a lovely comfortable home, well equiped, everything you need. My grandchildren loved the house and my daughter was very impressed with the space. We all loved sitting on the verandah relaxing, walking to the beach, sleeping in the comfortable beds and playing games, plus doing a jigsaw. Highly recommended!
