“The room and buildings were very clean - the issue was the pool area. Super dirty, visible algae on the side of the pool and hot tub, and the other hot tub was filled with bugs. Grass was growing through the bricks on the deck - the entire area was clearly not taken care of. I understand this is the shoulder season, which is why we wanted to come - to enjoy the quiet and pool area. But this was just gross. All employees we encountered were awesome.”

“Schweitzer Village was pretty vacant this time of year and we were thankful for that since we were able to get an amazing room with a beautiful view. Each staff member was extremely helpful and the Humbird had a great game room, gym, and rooftop jacuzzi.”

“I really hate to do this, and this is my first negative review ever. I spent $285 for a filthy roadside glorified rebuilt what I think appeared to be an ex- apartment of some sort smack dab on Main Street. I was “upgraded” to two queen beds, a third twin bed and couch from a king which made zero sense. I just wanted a king bed. After reading the past reviews, I believe this is under new ownership in the last few months. There is no “Swiss chef”, and everything spoken about is no longer there....

“The hotel is a typical American roadside motel it was pretty much as you would expect. The reception lady was lovely and welcoming the check in process quick and efficient. The parking was plentiful. The room was perfectly clean and presentable no frills but as mentioned perfectly fine. Nothing exceptional but just fine. Downtown is roughly 10-15 min walk for restaurants and bars the onsite bar lounge is good the bar tender we met was excellent.”

“Amazing getaway for the wife and me. We only stayed one night but it was excellent and definitely worthy of 5 stars. The cabin was cozy and perfect for 2 people (though more could sleep of needed). We stayed in late July but the morning was a little chilly so if you want to go out in the morning a light jacket would be good. The short walk through the woods was nice and there is a place to sit with a view of part of the lake, which would be nice to enjoy a morning coffee. However please be...

“Best place to go and get away. My dogs also had a blast and enjoyed playing with the super friendly host dogs. Also the best out house Iv ever experienced. The outdoor shower and tub is a great. Beautiful views and good vibes. Definitely coming back!”
