“Great experience. Traveling with my husband to visit the area and do hikes. Nice location and cozy cute cabins! Owner is super helpful and kind. Minor hiccup at check-in due to booking through Expedia - Expedia doesn't share any info with the owner of the property and the email for my self check-in wasn't sent. I called the owner and he called right back after a few minutes and was able to give me all the instructions I needed. He even gave me some hiking recommendations. Later, the water...

“Super nice staff. Very helpful. I rolled into town very late and hungry. The person at the front helped me by pointing me to the only place left in town to get food before closing. I got food at the buzzer. The beds were more comfortable than I expected. The room was clean. Generally a good experience. Would stay again.”

“The room was clean. The deck and backyard was a little sketchy, not quite what I had in mind. The owner lives downstairs so he was available but also we felt like we were being watched the whole time. If you've never been in this area it's nice to know there is a very active train track right across the road so lots of train noise. If you plan to go early in the week keep in mind it's a little town so many of the businesses are closed until later in the week.”

“Super cute 3 br apartment on main Street and within walking distance to everything that adorable Alma has to offer. We stayed at Mrs. Hippie while attending a wedding at Danzinger Vineyard, so spent very little time at the vrbo this time, but would love to come back and explore more of the area. The price for one night was too expensive in my opinion, but it is what it is..”

“Bathroom was a bit smaller than it looked in pictures. Room was clean. Twin bed was uncomfortable for me.”

“The hosts were very nice. Got things for us when we asked. Parking may be difficult. (Small area) was hoping the waterfront was right there and not hidden, but there was a road and houses obscuring the water. Overall it was a cozy place. Preferred a private separate cabin. It felt more like a motel setting. Would stay again.”

“This was the absolute best place for our entire family to stay, with our pets. The home was charming and cozy. Everything was very clean and the kitchen was stocked with all cooking and dining supplies needed. The property has beautiful maple trees that provide a nicely shaded area to sit and admire the amazing views of the surrounding farm landscape. We had a wonderfully relaxing stay.”

“We had the most peaceful getaway for 4 days in October here. The host was very responsive and the place was full of all essentials needed for a home cooked meal or bbq on the deck outside. Had coffee each morning (coffee and maker included) outside while watching fishermen, hunters, neighbors or for a walk and the squirrels getting ready for the new season. Beautiful view of the Mississippi backwaters from the kitchen and living room, huge windows. Would definitely go back! Thank you! ”
