“It was a clean and fairly adequate motel except for the mattresses and other furniture. Out of three beds in our room, one was adequate and the other two were worn out and visibly sunken. There weren’t many amenities (ice, front desk, etc) but the lack of comfortable furnishings in the room - sunken beds, only a card table and three folding chairs, no place to put suitcases to open them, etc., made this property a negative for me.”

“When I arrived the key would not work, once I got a new one I walked in and the walls in the bathroom were not painted,the wallpaper had been removed. There were holes in the wall. A can of roach killer spray was outside the office door. I stayed for 10 minutes and returned my key and went home. I'll never recommend this motel at all. Please don't go. I was afraid of getting bed bugs or having roaches all over me.”

“What a wonderful experience at Lost Nation Cowboy town. So much to do! From hiking to horseback riding, paddle boating, getting to know the lo al animals and characters in the town- there is so much to enjoy! Holly and her partner were amazing hosts! 10/10! Will be visiting again”

“A unique unforgettable stay. Friendly hosts, a sweet rescue horse, barn cats and kittens, a charming atmosphere. We had the river side cabin, which is just a short hike away. Cozy, far enough away to feel private, close enough to get visits from Midnight (a cat!).”

“This tiny house was exactly what I was looking for. It was clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed without feeling cramped. The space was thoughtfully laid out, and I really appreciated how peaceful it was. It was also close to get to Hillsdale College, while still giving me the feeling of being away from everything. For a quick overnight stay, it was perfect. I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting the area who wants something a little different from a traditional hotel....

“Holly is amazing. Her husband is a great help as well. I have stayed there twice now. This time was even more fun with having a horse back riding experience! We stayed for a couples night out. There were no spider webs in our cabin and we didn’t have to worry about asking for batteries for our fan! The accommodations for being a Rustic style experience were wonderful and clean. We definitely be going back.”

“Wonderful property! Clean, immaculate,…well stocked kitchen with dishes, utensils, etc. Comfortable beds, great towels!Everything felt newly updated. So close to the college, we could really almost walk to the Searle Center, but it was raining this weekend. Highly recommend this property!”
