“Great property and very friendly staff. I paid extra for a mountain view room but could only see the trees blocking my view. Carpeting needs cleaning as there’s a musty smell in the main lodge where I stayed. They keep the common areas too warm, a lot of humidity that adds to the mustiness. Maintenance needs to take charge and have a regular cleaning schedule.”

“Great time walking to shops and beach. Nice to have a private place to come back to. ”

“Was greeted right away and check-in went smoothly. Was even asked which floor I preferred to be on. The place was neat and clean. The room was clean and everything worked! The shower is amazing and has a strong blast of water coming from the shower head. I walked by the pool, but did not take a swim. Parking is great! Easy access off 35W and wide parking. There is additional parking (good for trucks) in the back. Gas station and McDonalds made it super convenient. Great hotel to stay at a decent...

“We were very pleased with this property - it had such wonderful charm, plenty of space, perfect location for walking to everything in town, it was very clean, and had a view of the lake. I would recommend a stay here to anyone considering it! Will check it out again if we make another trip to Grand Marais. ”

“We loved staying in the iconic Duluth hotel. The view was amazing. Breakfast was delicious in the rotating restaurant. Only critique is that the pool area could use some plants and decor to liven it up. It really feels outdated and brings the overall experience down. But otherwise a fun experience to stay there. ”
