“Not resort like. It is close to everything. Old couch worn out with n room. Friendly staff.”

“Let us check in early… so thankful.”

“I was very happy with the extras - breakfast, shuttle service. Very friendly and efficient attitude.”

“I called and made a reservation for a room. I was told that I could check in at 3:00 p.m. The lady at the front desk said it would be 20 minutes to 30 minutes more. I came back every half hour and she kept telling me it would be a little longer. I cancelled the reservation and asked for a refund. I did not get the refund. The staff is terrible”

“Great clean room the restaurant was delicious and Aaron was helpful and attentive”

“They were in ownership transition and May be better now. Reception person was awful ”

“Host communicated excellently for checkin, location was central to downtown and the space was very comfortable.”

“Perfect location for the travelers who are spending any significant time in Sitka. We have stayed prior and will stay again.”

“Great view of the water. Very clean room. Easy acess to highway to downtown. Laundry was very handy. Had trouble with tv. Losing internet and signal some nights while we were there. Overall we would come back again some day. Good price for sitka alaska.!!!”

“great location, quiet, reasonable”

“I didn’t have any communication until 3 pm. It would have been better to have had responses to my communication earlier.”

“The Golden Alaska Lodge was perfect. The accommodations were great and the views spectacular. Eagles nesting on the property, whales out in the sound. The bears stayed away but we saw plenty at the Fortress of the Bear.”

“Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is a very small home but it had everything we needed and the layout is really good. Quiet, clean, comfortable. The chair and the beds are both very comfortable. All the kitchen items we needed were provided. Excellent location.”

“Fantastic place”

“Incredible location and super kind host. Highly recommend!”

“Loved the property my sister and i really made a home for our ourselves for our four days in Sitka. Appreciated the extra touches coffee and hair care products and washer and dryer down the hall. The internet came and went but i guess thats Alaska. From the couch you can watch cruise culture crowds arriving in blue and green buses at. 10:00 am and the town desertrd by 4:00 pm. You must eat at Beak restaurant, have breakfast at backdoor cafe and hang out at Mean Queen. Fell in love with Sitka”

“Great location right in the heart of Sitka. Minutes from the airport. Great view of Sitka Harbor. We could see bald eagles and seals from the living room.”

“Charming, clean, spacious, and plenty of parking. There are stairs you have to lug your suitcase up. I would stay there again. Comfortable furniture and bed. Wonderful towels.”
