Cooper’s Creek swimming holes amazing, absolutely natural creek running through thick rainforest on the property with quick, easy access; swimming morning and night in the creek was the highlight of the stay. “If you’ve come to Daintree to explore the rainforest, this is the place to be. A stomes throw away from one of the boardwalk rainforest walks, and short driving distance to several others you are in the middle of it. The room had no AC, but a fan which sufficed. The toilets/showers in the common areas, a short walk from the “room”/house/hut were clean and in reasonable shape. This was truely a great accommodation.”

“Fantastic accommodation deep in the world’s oldest rainforest. 7 secluded cabins reached by boardwalks. Bathroom with a glass wall facing the forest. Comfortable, well kept rooms. Restaurant serving breakfast and dinner, nice food. Very nice staff. Cassowaries and feral pigs in the immediate vicinity. Frogs and toads croaking through the night. A truly magical place to be!”

“We had a great stay. George the owner is very proud of his property and showed us all around his gardens. The rooms were spacious, clean and modern. Very convenient to Daintree Discovery Center. All damage from the December 2023 “extreme rain event” have been repaired. Don’t hesitate to book. You can have breakfast and dinner at the hotel cafe. Otherwise, there are very limited restaurant options, and no markets nearby, so stock up before you get on the ferry, either at Mossman or Port Douglas....

“When we booked the “Secluded Cottage” we expected a rustic ageing house with primitive facilities where we would have to rough it with limited power and no internet. How wrong we were. It was amazing. Set deep in the rainforest, it had all the facilities you would want and more. Beautifully fitted out and well maintained. Even now has Starlink so internet was as good as at home.
