âA great hotel right in the middle of the old town, lovely room, quiet air-con and good bath, comfy bed. The service at this hotel was really great. The person at the front desk explained everything and was incredibly helpful and we had Messenger contact for anything we needed. Our bags had been delayed from the airtravel and the staff kept in contact with the airline and organised the pickup and transfer of the bags up to our room.. so exceptional service. âOnly an overnight to catch early morning flight, but as soon as we saw apartment we regretted not coming earlier. Great view of Dubrovnik and ocean from both balcony and windows in this top floor apartment.
Well planned layout with all essentials provided. Very friendly and helpful host completed first impression.
Only 10 minutes from old town makes this a perfect starting point to explore old Dubrovnik.
And town is truly worth more than half a day of sightseeing.

âValde boendet pga lĂ€get i gamla stan. JĂ€ttefint rum och badrum, men tyckte fokus lĂ„g pĂ„ utseende och inte sĂ„ mycket pĂ„ funktion. Det fanns knappt nĂ„nstans att hĂ€nga upp klĂ€der, en enda spegel fanns och den var i badrummet och samma med papperskorg. Det fanns en minibar, men den var helt tom. âClean and fresh. Ana was very service minded. Dubrovnik old town is tiny so doesnât matter much exactly where you stay. More important that it is clean. This place is 50 meters from steps of shame. Best snd coziest restaurants are however on the other (north) side of main street. â

âWhat a wonderful introduction to Croatia. The apartment is beautiful. Better than the pictures. It is quaint, clean, perfectly located and the walls and restaurants are just outside. Itâs a short walk from two fortress gates. There are stairs, but thatâs old world Europe. â

"An excellent 5 star hotel in Dubrovnik, from the exceptional welcoming reception, to the always friendly and service minded staff and of course, amazing luxurious rooms, in our case with a private terasse, beautiful spa and a must mention, the hotel exclusive direct sea access with sun chairs, service and absolute closeness to the Adriatic sea right at the doorstep of the hotel. All and all, a must stay in Dubrovnik, only a few minutes away from the historic Old town and all the buzz it is both calm and serene at Excelsior. We'll be back. Thank you to all the staff for working hard and making it a memorable stay!
Few notes:
Try out the hotel restaurants, they are fantastic.
A room with a terrace is nice but not a must have, try booking in the villa but if you have to choose there are plenty of outdoor space anyway at the hotel facilities.
Enjoy the amazing breakfast.
Ask for a sun chair at the sea front to experience the ultimate best of the Excelsior experience. The staff are attentive and always ready to help out! "
