Mysig centralt beläget Mid-Century Modern 60-tals villa i Reykjavík

En väl beläget och bekvämt för små grupper och familjer, upp till sju personer. Fyra sovrum och bekväma sängar för alla. Trevligt öppet vardagsrum med stora fönster, som gränsar till matsal och kök. Tre balkonger, i vardagsrummet, kök (utsikt över berget Esja), och sovrummet. Två badrum, en dusch. Platt-TV, Wifi och höghastighetsinternet, lakan, sängkläder och handdukar ingår. Buss nr 14 stannar precis utanför, tar dig downtown i några minuter senare. I närheten: Laugardalur dalen, med en Laugar Spa gym (gym, geotermisk pool, massage, Joe & The Juice). Detta är ett familjeägt fastighet med en separat lägenhet i källaren med separat ingång, som bebos av en person. Ägarna bor i ett hus i närheten. Vi är mycket villiga att hjälpa dig njuta av din vistelse. Vi tar din integritet på allvar.

Our stay and our host were absolutely amazing! Johannes was kind, communicative, and informative! It was a blessing to stay in his family home. Quiet neighborhood within walking distance to great coffee/bakery, the botanical gardens and an ice cream shop. When we return to Iceland, we will stay here again!

Family vacation

Excellent choice - would stay again. Very spacious with updated appliances (washer/dryer combo) kept us with fresh clothing throughout our week’s visit. Easy access to downtown (my son ran along the coast every evening back and forth to the city).

Great stay in Reykjavik!

We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful unique home. The amenities were as described and everything was clean and comfortable. The location was fantastic and the bus to downtown Reykjavik was frequent and very easy to figure out for these first-time visitors. Thank you for a lovely visit!

I would equate the house to staying at grandmas house. Lots of space but definitely needs a deep cleaning. Found the house with no problems but there is no key box and it was a bit tricky getting into the place. He had to meet us to get the key. Very very smelly water but that is known in Reykjavík. Unfortunately it makes the whole house smell bad like sulfur. The only shower was actually disgusting. Lots of corrosion and black something on the adjustable shaft. My bed unfortunately smelled like very strong sweat therefore the sheets could not have been clean. Also make sure u are aware that the house is connected by stairs to the living area in the basement where the owner has access to your space anytime. We had no problems with this but I was still a bit uneasy with having young daughters. The gentleman that lived there was very kind but needs to hire a cleaning company and do some updates to the home. Very nice family but the home needs some cleaning

Iceland with teenagers

The house was charming and perfect for us. Lots of character. Room for everyone. We thought we would take the bus places but ended up driving and we didn't find parking to be an issue. Nearby park/gardens that the kids enjoyed. Giant public pool nearby. It was a great choice for us.

Fantastic Reykjavík Home Base

We arrived and checked in at 3pm met by Johannes. We received a welcome and tour of the property to be sure we knew how to use everything- including recycling which was great!The rooms are all cozy and furnished nicely. Very homey and welcoming feel. Kitchen is completely stocked with all necessary equipment and the grocery store is conveniently close (we shopped at Bonus). It has a nice easy parking spot that is covered and right by the front door. The bathrooms are great and well stocked with towels and extra bedding. There is a washer/dryer in the master bath which we used several times for drying out clothing. Check out was easy. I highly recommend this property. It was close to everything we did (Downtown, Golden Circle, South Coast drive, The Harpa, etc..).

Everything about this charming home and its hosts was an absolute delight. Nestled atop a hill, you get lovely views when seated in multiple spots around the house. There is a wonderful 360° viewpoint a short walk from the home, and its central location makes it a breeze to get anywhere by bus or car. Me and my family were able to many meals at home in the well appointed kitchen, utilizing local meats and produce. We are all looking forward to the next visit we will make, and are sure to be booking this home again!

Girls Trip!!

We had a great stay on our girls getaway!! There were 7 of us which made us worried about the 1 shower but it was totally fine! We were welcomed right away with a kind gentleman and when we couldn’t figure out how to use the shower, our question was answered right away! Note: if you’re from the US ask about how to turn the shower on, quite different for us! It was wonderful and would return!!

1 week in genuine mid-century modern

This house was a joy to stay in. A beautifully built genuine mid-century modern house with a great location. Easy access to downtown Reykjavik and highways made it convenient for all of our activities. The owner was pleasure to meet and work with for check-in and gave us a tour of the house. Perfect for our family; just as described

This home in a quiet residential neighborhood was perfect for my husband and me and our two adult children. Plenty of space to spread out; comfortable beds/bedding; ample towels, equipped kitchen; outdoor areas. Gorgeous views of harbor, mountains, glaciers, just a few minutes' drive to central Reykjavik.
