Tucked among the towering evergreens of Mt. Hood, Alpine Ski Haus feels like a step back in time — a century-old mountain cabin surrounded by peace and evergreen trees. The moment you arrive, you’ll feel that unmistakable sense of calm that only the woods can bring.

Just a 1-hour drive from Portland and 12 minutes from Government Camp, this charming getaway is perfect for a romantic weekend, a peaceful solo retreat, or a fun-filled family vacation.

Inside, the cabin glows with warm log details, and rustic charm. Mornings welcome you with warm cup of coffee in the kitchen while sunlight filters through the trees. Evenings invite you to curl up with a good book, play a board game, or share stories around the cozy living room.

A bedroom on the main floor makes it easy to settle in, while upstairs you’ll find another bedroom and a small loft sitting area adjacent to it — perfect for reading, journaling, or simply relaxing. On the other side, above the living room, is a children’s nook with a small sofa that opens into a single bed — a favorite hideaway for little ones.

Step outside and breathe in the crisp alpine air — the covered hot tub is ready for a peaceful soak beneath a canopy of trees, and the two-person sauna adds a touch of spa-like relaxation to your stay.

Though the cabin was built in 1925, it’s been carefully cared for and thoughtfully equipped with everything you need for a comfortable, restful getaway. Simple, warm, and surrounded by nature — Alpine Ski Haus is your cozy retreat in the woods.

Our cabin is located in a small neighborhood in the Rhododendron area of Mt Hood. It`s only 15 minutes from Government Camp and 22 minutes to Timberline Lodge. You`ll be right in the middle of all the beauty Mt Hood area is known for.

You`ll be close by to all the neighboring areas such as Zig Zag, Welches, and Mt Hood Village. You`ll find many shops and wonderful restaurants nearby.
