“The Buck Inn is in a prime central location on a picturesque street. I think some of the recent reviews are unfair. Richmond is an expensive town and most places charge £160 to £180 per night. The Buck Inn charges £85 a night for a double and that includes a very good breakfast. The room is a large en-suite with tea/coffee/hot chocolate facilities and a fair sized tv. “The location is a perfect ten, but the staff was far from good. First of all, it took us 1.5 hours to check in, and we didn’t sense any effort to speed up the process. There was a complete lack of willingness from the staff to make our experience enjoyable.
Our room was also dirty, which unfortunately aligned with the poor check-in experience.
The Tan Hill has the potential to be amazing. It has everything going for it—except the staff, who failed to make our stay pleasant.”

“This hotel was ideal for our one night stay to visit our grandchildren who live nearby. The staff communicated with us to explain about the problems with the kitchen but they produced two superb pizzas and the draught beef was really nice.”
