"I’ve stayed at the hotel twice in ten days (two weekends, Friday to Monday) and let me begin with the positives. The staff are incredibly helpful and committed and the rooms and facilities are tidy and well kept. The breakfast is good but a bit sparse. Good restaurant that served the best steak and ale pie I’ve had. However, the beds are not very comfortable and the pillows are like bricks. It is also a ”party” hotel, for both weekends there was a wedding party on the Friday and for the second weekend there was a birthday party on Saturday, in all cases the music was loud and people happy which is great but do not expect a peaceful weekend. Finally, the location is a bit off. An OK hotel but with some caveats. For me the standout point was the staff and food."
