“We stayed several days and as other reviews stated bugs were an issue due to ripped and holes in screens. Cookware needs replacement and the rubber like plastic plates ,which were only option should definitely be replaced. These few easy fix minor cost upgrades would make a huge difference in my opinion. With that constructive criticism being said we enjoyed our stay there and would potentially visit again in the future.”

“This house was really a gem, well equipped and surrounded by nature. Just be SURE to rent a 4WD vehicle, as there are many steep and winding dirt roads to access the property with huge potholes and ruts. We knew about this area but if you have never been there be prepared for an off-road experience. Lots of birds and beauty make the effort worthwhile. Friendly and helpful caretakers. We had a lovely time:)”

“Always nice views on the lake. Close to New Arenal which is useful and we found good restaurants. The house was in the mountains and it was very quiet. It is suitable to have a 4x4 to reach the premises.”

“This is very much a stay at a family’s home versus a primary rental purpose. It is a drive to everything but you get a lot of beds for the price. We had a very action packed time closer to La Fortuna so this house fit our low key plans. My husband used the sunroom with beautiful views for Work and the rest of us enjoyed the swimming pool and bird-watching. ”

“Lots of space with a beautiful view of the lake! The property is gated and the property manager Ricky also lives on site with his family. The house has a great outdoor space with a lawn and view of the lake, plus a barbecue, though it was pretty smoky and we had a hard time getting it going.
