Den äldre delen av Monterosso där huset ligger är trevligare och trots det centrala läget (och att järnvägen går 25 m från huset) är det lugnt och skönt. Torget funkar fint som "uteplats" och det är nära till bad (gratisstranden till vänster från huset sett är helt OK) och bra matställen.
