“Stayed at Riu Vallarta for 4 days as part of a 12 day trip in Puerto Vallarta (stayed at the Riu Jalisco for the other 8 days). Vallarta is a step up from the Jalisco in almost every way. Property is closer to the beach so it is not a long walk from your room to the beach. Crowds weren't too bad but you did have to get up early to claim a chair near the pools. Food options are good with a buffet and 4 restaurants. Biggest complaint I would have would be with the room refrigerator restock. We...

“Good location in punta de mita. Service was great. Staff was excellent. We were happy to tip simply because the staff did not push for tips. Ac and mini fridge did not work.the ala carte restaurants were either closed or unavailable for reservations during our entire trip. The vacation time share sales staff were quite pushy at times.”
