“We loved our stay here. We were traveling to Maryland and stopped here for an overnight. Communication with the host was easy and we certainly had plenty of space to spread out. Really, the only downside is that it's maybe 15-20 minutes off the highway, so a little bit out of the way, but we felt safe in the neighborhood and there is a designated parking spot for visitors. The bed was comfortable, you can use the washer and dryer if you need, there is a mini fridge for holding things...

“Everything host described. Not sure where the grilling area was since we didn't need/want to use it. Outside lights stream in to the living room area, which can be problematic for some that are trying to sleep there. It got a little loud with other tenants coming/going in middle of the night. Overall the host responded well to questions and allowed us to stay even though we had a few extra kids traveling with us than the listed number. A hotel is tight for our family. “We had a fine stay, though there was no dining table or desk for us to work at. Each bedroom had the world's largest TV which might be nice for a very specific kind of renter but it seemed a little over the top for us. Would have preferred a desk space or something more functional. Over”

“A favorite!! We returned here for a second stay because of the beautiful setting, the amenities that make a perfect haven for a stop-over on a long trip (refrigerator, pool, coffee options). So thankful for close proximity to quick morning hike (or a long one!).”

“Salem Historic Downtown VRBO was exactly as described. It was close to downtown, and not far to walk or drive to eating locations. The three bedrooms, two bathrooms, desk room, TV room, laundry room, and kitchen, were all very clean. If we ever have a reason to go back to Salem, VA., this is the first place I would check to see if it would be available. A MUST RENT IF YOU'RE STAYING IN SALEM, VA.”
