“The location was great, we loved being right on the water. Loved that pets are welcome. A few things to note. The pictures look as if there are all kinds of swings off the porch, my kids were real excited about. There was only one swing. That was let down. The ping pong table does not exist. The wifi is terrible. The thermostat was a little iffy. And there is a camper almost flush up to the house that is owned by someone else, and they were loud all weekend, which wasn't a big deal, but when...

“It was a nice stay and very unique. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. The photos make the place look a bit newer than it is which was fine but we were expecting the place to be much more updated than it was. It still was great and really cozy. Our dog liked the area to run around and the neighbors were very far so it was private and quiet. We liked the smores but there were no smores sticks so we had to go get those which the store is pretty close so no biggie....

“Really peaceful stay along the river - quiet and a beautiful stretch of the country. The cottage was wonderful and nicely appointed.”

The house had everything we needed, including a well-equipped kitchen to cook meals. The property was well-situated for easy day trips to Tweetsie Railroad and Boone.
