Memories to last a lifetime
My sisters and I booked for our mums 70th birthday weekend and it was the perfect venue for our families to stay together and make memories to last a lifetime. The space for the grandkids to play outside in the afternoon sun but and also watch movies on a rainy day was perfect while the adults enjoyed the cosy fireplace and separate lounge areas. Our mum desperately wanted to just spend a weekend altogether and it was honestly the perfect venue. I cannot recommend it highly enough!

Beautiful spacious house
Such a pleasant surprise, the house was soo much more beautiful than what was presented in the photos. Lovely, spacious living areas and beautiful open, well kept garden. We were 2 families of 4 adults and 6 kids and the layout was great for us to spend time together and time apart comfortably. We had a fantastic stay, thank you!

Amazing house. Clean fresh beds soooo comfortable large enough for all of us (13) great gardens. Pantry stocked with amenities needed. Definitely recommend to anyone wanting large house in the area.

Excellent Mini break
The accomodation was excellent. Well laid out and very spacious and clean. Much better than the photos online. The kids loved it! There are plenty of different living areas and the property is very well equipped with furniture and TVs.

Beautiful place to stay
The house was perfect for our whole family. Very clean. Beds were so comfortable. This is the second time I have stayed here and I would definitely stay here again. The indoor fire was perfect for this time of year.

Fabulous group house
This property is lovely and has lots of living spaces which works well for a large group. The photos don’t do it justice. Plenty of equipment in the kitchen and all of the rooms were toasty warm and comfortable.

Beautiful home
Lots of space for the whole family to enjoy. Great fire place and lovely home. The stay would have been perfect if there was an additional bathroom. Other than this I would highly recommend. The hosts were also fantastic and very accomodating. Thank you.

Wonderful highlands getaway
Such a lovely property, the pics don't actually do it justice. Perfect for our 3 families to come together for a relaxing long weekend - the loft retreat just right for the big kids while the adults relaxed downstairs by the fire. Thank you!

Great location and ammenities
Overall great place to be. Everything for a great break was provided, Only small gripe would be dripping shower and shower recess seemed to leak. Didn’t impact on the great and relaxed feel of the property.

Lovely house for family getaway
My family rented this property for 2 nights while we were in town for a wedding and it was perfect for our stay, providing us with all our home away from home needs and comforts. Would stay here again, and recommend to others.

Great Family stay
Was attending a family wedding nearby and found this house that the whole family could share. The kids thought the loft room was so much fun and didn’t want to leave. House very clean and stocked with everything we possibly could need. Very enjoyable weekend!

Large house with lots of areas to mingle
Property was situated in a big quiet street, close to Robertson township. Beds were comfortable and it was spotlessly cleaned. There were two separate entertaining areas inside the house, so great for the kids to be in one and adults in another. Unfortunately it was raining the whole time we were there so we didn't get to enjoy the outdoor area which had a very large lawn, surrounded by big established trees. The local information provided by the hosts was also great. A few negatives; we couldn't use the dishwasher as it short-circuited the house power each time (suggest the dishwasher be replaced or investigate the reason it's happening?), also the number of "Please do not do this..." signs around the house were almost comical (including 'don't jump on the beds' and 'don't make excessive noise outside past 6pm' and 'don't use towels to remove makeup, use wipes' etc) and the check-in information was a bit confusing, initially saying 2pm and 10am, then 12 and 12, so we weren't sure which it was. Overall though, the house was great, and we'd be happy to stay again.

Great family weekend getaway
This property is amazing! We stayed over one of the coolest weekends and the house was always warm. The kids enjoyed the upstairs area and the multiple lounge areas meant that everyone could spread out. An excellent house. We will be back!

We were all so pleasantly surprised with the spaciousness of each room & the overall area to “spread out” as we were 3 adult couples & 3 children. And we all appreciated the beautiful decor throughout the property, as well as the very thoughtful finishing touches. Overall it’s a marvellous property to stay at.

Enjoyed our stay at Sassafras House, Robertson for a girls weekend away. House was clean, spacious and warm. Beds were all extremely comfortable and kitchen was stocked with plenty of plates, bowls, glasses and utensils for a large group. Only thing to flag is bedroom configuration needs to be updated on the website - Bedroom 1 is listed as 2 x bed (king · queen) which is actually a king bed and a queen mattress on the ground and Bedroom 5 is listed as 5 x beds (queen (2) · double · single (2)) but actually had 4 x queen/double beds and no single beds. This wasn't a huge issue but could be for some larger groups/families. Would stay again and recommend to family and friends.

Wedding weekend accomodation
Although there were a few issues, such as the bbq was not clean and for some reason the oven wouldn’t turn on, we absolutely loved the weekend. I did think that in the photos it makes the property looked bigger, especially as I thought there would be more places to park in the driveway but we made it work. Our stay was still amazing ! The upstairs loft area was huge and our friends and family loved it. The king bed in the main room was also so soft !

Family birthday celebrations
Lovely house and easy for us all to stay. We were 16 people and kids loved the upstairs loft. Good sized kitchen to cater as well. We will be back for another stay just based on the convenience. Only slight problem is the 2 bathrooms only but everyone can adjust. Jess was easy to deal with and accommodating. See you next time

I can’t express how happy we were with our stay a few hiccups but easily resolved with Jess assisted right away downfall was it rained most of the time but overall we had an amazing time and definitely will be back

Great property
The house and garden are great with lots of space for everyone. There are plenty of seats inside and outside and a big dining table. The beds are very comfortable with quality linen and towels provided. The kitchen is really well equipped with appliances and lots of crockery and cutlery. The internet wasn't working when we stayed and the owner was apologetic. The only issue with a house that sleeps up to 16 people is there are only two bathrooms and one of them is an en-suite. We really enjoyed our stay.
