  • Välkommen till The Lakeside Caboose, belägen i den vackra Rockaway Beach! Inbäddat mellan sjön Lytle och Stilla havet, var denna ljusa och luftiga stuga historiskt det sista huset i utkanten av Rockaway stadsgränser, inspirerande för sitt namn, The Lakeside Caboose. Hemmet rymmer upp till åtta gäster i tre sovrum nere (King, King w / våningssängar och en drottning) med två badrum. På övervåningen hittar du ett inbjudande öppet utrymme med fantastisk utsikt över sjön i öster och havet i väster. Köket och vardagsrummet är också beläget på andra våningen, med ett halvt badrum bortkopplat till sidan. Stugan ombyggdes totalt 2019 men behåller fortfarande en del vintage-charm med en eldstad i 1950-talet i lantbrukets inspirerade kök. Vi har kikare tillgängliga för valskådning, eller så kan du till och med upptäcka de bosatta Bald Eagles som bo på fjärrsidan av sjön.

    Se till att ta dig ut och utforska butikerna och restaurangerna som ligger strax utanför motorväg 101 när du bor på Rockaway Beach. Du kan hitta den perfekta souvenir för vänner och familj hemma. Du kan också utforska stranden eller fiska i sjön, så ta med dina fiskeredskap! Res norrut till Seaside och utforska den vackra strandpromenaden, eller resa söderut till Tillamook för en rundtur i fabriken där de producerar läckra mejeri- och nötköttsprodukter. Restful Family Spot

The house is in a great location, within walking distance to the public dock on the lake for the boys to walk and fish every day. So close to the beach to easily spend the evenings enjoying the sunset and wonderful views. Centrally located to easily visit tillamook, cannon beach, or other nearby sites. Downtown rockaway is so close and has plenty of great shops and don’t forget to stop at pronto pup and ride the corn dog!

Relaxing

Our second stay here. We all had a relaxing stay and we’re very comfortable. Lots of cozy blankets for those cold wet ocean days. Kitchen is well appointed and easy to navigate. Overall a very pleasant and relaxing stay.

Great place close to the beach! Well stocked and clean with space to relax between beach trips. I would add that it’s close to the highway and train tracks, so that can be loud. I would also suggest a longer welcome mat as we did drop the key through the porch a couple of times and had to crawl under and get it. Charming vintage cute and perfect for staying in Rockaway.

Great property

We enjoyed our stay here, we picked this house because of the large tables and large kitchen, so we could have my parents and brothers family over for dinners while we all stayed in Rockaway. The only thing we missed having was a bbq (we didn’t realize there wasn’t one when we booked). The bedrooms and bathrooms were perfect for us. Everything was clean.

Excellent Place to Stay!

The house is located close to the beach, is quiet, well-stocked, and has great views. Close to stores and shops. The property has A LOT of stairs to get in and to the main living area. I wish I had known that. My elderly parents found this very challenging. That’s the one downside. Overall, a great trip and nice place to stay!

Great rental with views

Well equipped kitchen. Comfortable beds which is critical. Views are fabulous, can see lake on one side and ocean on other! Great family rental, would absolutely rent again. VERY close to beach, easy beach access down the street. Right near 101 and there is some road noise, but only when it's totally quiet outside and only occasionally. It was not a factor, but given its location, wanted to mention this in case it was a concern for someone considering this home.

Overall a nice weekend getaway. Upon arrival the house smelled musty. We had to open all the windows. While it does have new floors and paint the furniture is dated as well as the appliances. The fireplace is a plug in electric feature and did not work for us. Great views of beach and lake. Easy to walk to beach. Cute town.

Beautiful House

This house was perfect for my sis and I and our three kids and two dogs!! House was very clean. Lots of room for us to all relax and enjoy. The deck was amazing. Views were spectacular. Would highly recommend

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great location, a block from the beach/trail, and super easy lakefront access!! Great set up with sleeping quarters downstairs, living space upstairs, and bathrooms on each level! I think every decade from the 40's till now was covered in some fashion with appliances/furniture/decor! I loved it! Kitchen is very well stocked and personally I loved the "vintage" appliances, cookware and gadgets (work better than today's mass production!) However, if you are used to teflon cooking, might want to bring some pans.The bed in the "master" was insanely comfortable! Supportive, but felt like I was sleeping on a cloud!Short of a crockpot, there was NOTHING we needed we couldn't find in the house! Sand toys, marble run and lots of games to entertain on rainy days! Last minute booking when our planned rental found termites. Julie worked on her day off to assure we had everything we needed. She was genuinely friendly! Highly recommend this place and this company!

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My family and I stayed during the summer of 2020 and again this summer. Last year the home was spotless. This year there was garbage under beds, sand everywhere (even on shelves) and ants in the kitchen. The bedspread in the master bedroom had a 2 foot tear in it. It also appeared that a new bed frame was being used in the master bedroom, but that it didn't have proper support (slats). It was very uncomfortable compared to the prior year and even had a bunch of chairs stored underneath that my husband and I stubbed our toes on many times. It was really disappointing compared to how great it was the previous year. One thing I would note though is that none of the bedrooms have proper closets or dressers to store your clothing. For me, that's annoying, but others may not mind.

Decent stay for decent price

Nice little house with room enough for 7 people, primarily adults. Furnishings were not the best, but did the job. Great lication close to beach, but not actually on the beach. Overall solid house at a readonable rate for what we were looking for.

Reviewer Comments: Home is pretty well equiped with some of the basic amenities you would expect, but wish it had a few extra things. Cooking pans are very well used and need to be tossed out in my opinion. We purchased a new frying pan at the local store and left it there for future guests. The stove and oven although is very antique and neat looking is not the best to cook with. One last thing to be aware of is the stairs. Stairs to get into the house and the kitchen and living room are upstairs. Not a huge problem but if someone has troubles navigating stairs it would be nice to know.

The first two days were rainy so I snuggled in the kingsize bed and got some great R&R..the pillows are wonderful! The beach is a 2 minute walk from the house so I felt free to come and go as many trips as I wanted to make without a long haul. Also, the roads in the neighborhood are all flat which made it a breeze to ride my bike around. The kitchen is really great to cook in with all the cooking tools you need! My only heads up is the learning curve for operating the television and I never could get the t.v. in the master bedroom to work.. Other than that it is a great beach house to stay in.
