The Space:

Situated right on Lake Lytle and just a five-minute walk from the ocean, this private, forested Rockaway Beach vacation home offers the best of both worlds: a bucolic lakeside setting with picture-perfect views and nearby access to a popular ocean beach!



This well appointed two-bedroom home is located just east of the Oregon Coast Highway, in the northern reaches of Rockaway Beach. The quaint downtown area of Rockaway Beach is just three minutes away, and you're within easy access to other nearby beach towns, with their unique shops and restaurants.



This getaway has a cute, rustic-chic feel, with a vaulted, exposed timber ceiling, wood floors, and lots of pine accents throughout. A large, covered front porch offers front-and-center views of Lake Lytle, and the home's open living area features a wall of picture windows for viewing the lake. The living room offers plenty of comfy seating from which to gaze out the windows, enjoy the heat from the wood stove, or watch movies on the flatscreen TV. (DVD player, DirecTV, and WiFi are included.)



The adorable woodland kitchen boasts lake views and all the equipment you might need to whip up your favorite meals. For mealtimes, there's seating for six indoors and additional seating for four on the from porch, where you'll also find a gas barbecue for your grilling needs.



With two bedrooms (offering a king-size bed, a queen-size bed, and twin bunks), a queen sleeper sofa in the living room, and one bathroom, this home can comfortably sleep up to eight (six adults). Pets aren't allowed, but kids are welcome! A Pack n' Play is available on-site, as well as a selection of games for all ages. The cottage-style bedrooms feature lovely quilts, the bathroom includes a shower and a washer and dryer mean you can keep packing light.



Bring your paddle board and swimsuit for the lake! Two beach chairs are provided. When you've had enough lake fun, walk to the ocean beach in just five minutes. Tillamook's Alderwood Golf Course and famous Tillamook Cheese Factory are just 20 minutes to the south, and the magical seaside village of Manzanita, with its quirky shops and great surfing, is just 20 minutes north.



Whether you spend your Rockaway Beach vacation tucked in the living room, taking in the lake scene with a cup of tea, or exploring the surrounding beaches and sights, this Northern Oregon Coast retreat is the perfect spot of your next ocean getaway!

Was a great location. Lake was nice to look at while having morning coffee. Beach was a quick 5 min walk. Great water pressure in the shower and the main bed was very comfy. Was very home feeling.

Comfort

We did three nights for a BFF get away. We had a great time in this cozy, comfy cabin. The lake view is just gorgeous. Two days were sunny and beautiful, one day it stormed and the entire porch was wet and all of our items outside blew off the deck, that’s a coastal storm for ya. The homey touches are very nice, comfortable furniture and spaces. We will return, thank you!

Winter Getaway

We enjoyed the cute cabin. It was clean, small, but efficient. Perfect for me and my husband. Takes a while for the baseboard heating to warm the house. Once it got there, stayed comfortable our entire stay. Even during a winter snap that got down in the 20's. We loved it.

Oregon Coast

We survived the Bomb Cyclone of 2021! Locals were quite excited, but luckily everything went well for us. The property is very nice! Clean, beautiful and peaceful. I think the check in/out times were slightly unfair. Also, for the price, I think it would be most gracious if you, property manager, were to leave coffee and sugar there at the very least. Most properties I've stayed in (numerous) have more accommodating kitchens that this one. Just be prepared!

Great Lake View Cabin

This was the perfect spot for a birthday getaway weekend! Amazing lake view, just a short few min walk to the beach. Loved the wood burning stove and cozy feel. Definitely want to visit again with our kiddos next time.

Absolute perfect lake house

Very cozy and comfy stay for my family. I'd love to know what kind of mattress was in the master. Best mattress I've ever slept on. Only draw back was that we realized with 4 teenagers that we can't do one bathroom. Lol. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

Very nice place.

It was a great deal of the lake. The lights on the porch were fun it was festive. The color scheme and decoration were nice. It was nice to be a 5-minute walk from the ocean. Thank you for the beach towels. The kitchen and bathroom were fine. The top bunk bed did not have a mattress protector. It would be easier to make the bed up if the mattress protector was the size of the bunk bed. Thank you for sharing your house.

Construction noise ruined the weekdays.

We arrived to find a house being constructed next door. The following morning construction noise ruined the sense of peace we were looking for at this rental. The following day was worse with loud trucks blocking the view of the lake and beeping and banging all morning. I emailed vacasa 2 times becuase we had not been informed of this before booking and never heard back. I think we should have received some sort of communication or refund. Other than that the place was as listed and was nice on the weekend when the construction was not happening.

Great Getaway

My girls and I stayed for 5 nights in early August. It was the perfect location and spot for our adventures. We brought our paddle boards and utilized the lake for that. It was great to be able to leave them inflated with the lake just across the street. The lake did not entice us to swim in it as there is a lot of seaweed - but it was magical with the paddle boards. There was mention in another review of a kayak which I was very much looking forward to using. Unfortunately it didn’t have a paddle so that was a bit disappointing. The only other rub was that I sent a couple of messages trying to inquire about a few things before we left and I never heard back from my written communications. When I called Vacasa however, I spoke with an extremely helpful person who was familiar with the area, gave me lots of tips and it made it worth the wait.

Amazing place, but slow communication

Everything about the trip went well. We were in town for a wedding and it was a perfect place to relax and enjoy the quiet + only a 5 minute walk to the beach! Only negative was the slow communication with the rental company (vacasa) when I was trying to cancel a night. Everything worked out in the end- I just had to send multiple messages over several weeks before ever getting responses.

Lytle lookout

Beds are very comfortable. Home is well stocked with appliances. Nice shower. Nice deck over looking the lake but On a street that cars drive way to fast on. There were some broken items in the home and I had no way of communicating that to property owners.

Sweet!

I loved spending a winter week here. If you're coming for a full week, it might help to know that you may want to bring paper towels, TP, laundry detergent, and cooking spices. If you hope to make soup, bring a soup pot as well. There was only one pot and pan that I felt comfortable using as I try not to cook using scraped up Teflon for health reasons. Otherwise, the entire space was comfortable, clean, and a delight to be in through all the changing weather patterns. Bring fire wood, too! The wood burning stove makes for a cozy stay.

A nice place to stay.

A nice house. We had a good time there. The owner really thought for these guests and had prepared all the necessary things to make guests feel at home. Just a little detail to add: the house might feel a little bit cold cause the heater system is kind of old and take time to heat up. You might want to light up the fireplace first. The house had a coffee machine but I cannot find any coffee there, what''s a pity for a cozy morning in the house, outside was cold and rainning wet.

Great place to stay.

Great 2 bedroom 1 bath for my wife and to stay in. House was clean and comfortable once we heated it up. The electric heat took a little while and we ended up firing up the wood stove which my wife really enjoyed. Great view from the living room over looking the lake. The street isn't the greatest for walking but it's just a couple minute drive to the beach and it's not to busy so it made for some nice sunsets and walks.

Relaxing beach house

Our family loved staying here. It’s a small house but nicely decorated, clean and comfortable. The view of the lake was spectacular and the short walk to the beach was fun. The kitchen has everything you need. We want to come back!

Perfect little place for a relaxing night

Clean, cute place close to beach and across street to lake. Less than a mile to some shops and restaurants. Nicely done interior. Plenty of space for everyone to sleep. Nice TV with a lot of channels.
