Plenty of room and gorgeous woodwork and wrap around porch. Beds and shower were especially nice! Lots of extra touches to make you feel welcome and special! “We stayed at the cabins during a horseshow at the Virginia Hose Center. The cabins were very conveniently located to the horse center, and very clean and spacious. A great alternative to the hotels!”

“The sound of the rolling river through the property made it all worth while. My wife and I both enjoyed the opportunity to unplug(very remote location) and just sit out on the deck and talk, play games or do nothing. We hiked up Crabtree Falls and it was beautiful. Just a relaxing, enjoyable couple of days for us. We would definitely come back.”

“Country Roads is a special property, with abundant views of a peaceful meadow and the Maury River. The cabin is frozen in time and has an interesting, retro vibe. Our family loved the peaceful transition of coming here in between graduation activities, and we enjoyed bird-watching, fishing in the river, sitting by the firepit at night, and conversing on the front porch each morning. Would definitely return.”

However with an 1850's home, there are some aspects that may not be what you're used to, especially the bathroom facilities. They were OK, but a renovation in that area would be welcome. The house is beautiful, well appointed, and had everything we needed in the kitchen, bathrooms, and bedrooms.
