“We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property! It was even more impressive than the photos showed. It was nice for the kids to each have their own rooms with queen beds, and the master bedroom had a king bed that was also really comfy. Sitting on the patio listening to the waves was relaxing, and the assortment of games provided some entertainment during our down time. The AC did have some issues keeping the place cool with heat indexes outside over 100
but when I reached out to the owner...

“Absolutely horrible experience. Upon arrival we were disappointed that everything was much more dated, and worse quality compared to the appearance in photos. AC unit was not working, the lower level bedrooms carpet was soaked and the upstairs toilet would not flush. We spoke with the head office staff who was very rude and said the AC had been fixed earlier in the morning. They reluctantly sent maintenance over and could not do anything to fix it. They also were unable to get an outside company...

"The lodge is nice and charming. Pool areas good and water clean. The rooms are dated, but ours was clean and good. The bar and restaurants are okay. I guess the staff is Midwest nice, but maybe a little bit lazy. I don’t get the feeling anyone would go the extra mile to make my stay better. But with the price tag it’s good value for money, I would go back."
