“New listing” Fully Renovated Beachfront+ Pet Friendly + Guest House

  • Welcome to the ‘Comfort Zone’—a beachfront, pet friendly 3 bedroom 2 bath main home with a guest house with a small full bath, loft, pull out sofa and kitchenette in the heart of the Outer Banks. Situated in a National Park, the house has expansive wrap around decks. Ocean views from nearly every room- 2 bedrooms ( one bedroom with own Juliet oceanfront balcony), bathroom, kitchen, dining and living rooms. Comfort Zone is created as a home and not a rental property. In fact it was our vacation home where we have entertained many guests. With the complete renovation of the home completed, this is our first year renting. Pet friendly. Hatteras Island is filled with opportunities for outdoor activities, water sports, day trips and local artists.
    Gathering around the fire pit in the back yard and make memories.Plenty of space to park up to 4 cars or a boat.

We had a great stay at the property… it’s right on the ocean and has a beautiful view. The host was very helpful and always responded right away to any questions before and during our stay. Would highly recommend!

The host communicated back with any and all questions in a timely fashion. The house was very clean and beautifully set up to make our stay incredible. The views are from several different places in the house, and comfort inside and out.Beds were comfortable as well. I would definitely stay at this place again and would love to meet the host.

Everything was very nice and really enjoyed the location. Checkout was easy. The only thing I would update is the mattress in the back left corner bedroom upstairs. The mattress was very worn and sunk in the middle. Made an uncomfortable sleep through the week. Everything else was good and enjoyed our stay.

We really enjoyed our stay at the comfort zone. The location was amazing, right on the beach. There is a huge wraparound deck that allowed our dog to outside but kept him contained. My favorite part was the guest house that is connected to the main space by the deck. The kids slept in there, had their own bathroom and TV, so they could play Xbox all day like normal. There’s a loft with a bed and also a sleep sofa in there. We will definitely be staying here again!

It was beautiful. However, there was no vaccum so we had sand all over our floors. The broom did not help. Couldn’t clean up at the outside shower due to about 100 angry wasps! My husband killed a few wasp nests and more came. My poor dog got stung. Couldn’t sit on the decks because the wasps came up through the wood!! Never saw so many wasps in my entire life! No hot water in the guest house shower either. Ugh. So it was beautiful and clean, but the above issues were kind of annoying.

The host was definitely hospitable. He came to the property when needed and provided thorough instructions for the house. The house was directly beachfront other than a small sand dune that did not obstruct your view. The decks around the house were amazing as well - two level (one covered, one not). The house was well equipped with what you need for a comfortable stay. Our kids got a kick out of the guest house that was atttached by a small deck to the main house. That area is a bunch of fun for kids of all ages. Each bathroom was well equipped (one with a large walk-in shower and the other with a soaker tub). We do feel that a couple areas of the home needed some maintenance. A few of the deckboards needed secured better. Noticeable but not a horrible trip hazard. The grounds needed some upkeep.

This was a perfect house for a week of R&R at the beach. We really liked staying out of the bustle of the usual Outer Banks areas and being closer to Hatteras was very relaxing and more nature oriented. The beach is just steps from the door. The beach was ours with only a few neighbors on either side. If you like boogie boarding, the waves seem to be perfect for long rides to the shore breaking at the perfect distance to give a strong push without smashing you into the shallows. The house had abundant decks which were all doggie secure. I especially liked the second floor deck facing the ocean (spectacular). Our 18 YO recent HS grad like having the guest house to herself. We had a tiny bit of confusion getting in which was probably my fault for not checking the app. Other VRBOs have send me instructions via email but I was able to find the door code through the app after getting it from the host who responded quickly. We are already looking forward to another stay.

This was a great experience for my family as majority of them have never even seen the ocean. This house was an outstanding location. Nice and quite other than the sound of the ocean which was beautiful. The host James was amazing and couldn’t have been a better host. Any issues were resolved quickly and without any issues. Our last vacation had us scared about what to expect this time and James made this so smooth and easy for us. We are definitely looking at finances to be able to securing this location again in the future. The views are amazing and having decks on all levels are outstanding. The deck off the main living area is a great place to eat all meals. Especially having young kids just makes it easier to clean up. Just need to have wifi access. But was not a big deal as we have more than enough access without. Just a thought for future customers. Wishing you a great endeavor, and future with this property. Looking forward to the day I get the money together to get our next visit booked.
