“We picked this place at random online, coming in from a 10 day cruise to Southampton. Booking online sight unseen is always a gamble, but this time we hit the jackpot. Totally charming English countryside inn, fantastic food, stunning rooms, very comfy pub, and amazing staff. I'd be remiss if I didn't single out Kate and Tahir, who went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect. I can't recommend this place highly enough!”

“Room very clean & tidy looks like a recent refurbish which was very well done , the only thing was the mattresses could do with renewing , which is the only negative thing to say about our stay was able to help ourselves to tea ,coffee etc when needed . “Loved this place and the people. It is a little far from main attractions, Salisbury and Stonehenge. About 10-15 miles. But it is so charming. Food is fantastic and building is historic. Be sure to have right converters for plugging things in as there are no USB ports in the rooms. No AC and we arrived during a short heat wave. Bed very comfortable and the soaking tub in the room was great for cooling down.”

If a client is using derogatory foul audible language aimed at women in the bar area they should be asked to stop by the manager/bar tender - it’s not pleasant to be subjected to this if you’re sitting quietly trying to enjoy your own drink .
