“Overall we loved it, though it would have been good to know that you can't drive to the hotel if you don't have a proper 4WD as it is located at the end of a long and steep tarished road. Luckily the hotel offers an transport service for the dirty road between 8am and 5pm. They also offer food(preorder only) and drinks at the bar. The staff was very nice and always helpful. Our favourite was the weekday driver. The cottage had a very nice kitchen unfortunately not much utensils in it... Being so...

“Stayed here for 4 nights, the cabin is very interesting. It is in the lovely garden of the owners, a little bit outside of the main street in Calibishie, so better to have a car. The kitchen is great, bathroom also, however there is no airconditioning. The view is awesome from the hammock and terrace. The owners are very nice and friendly. Thanks!”

“We were fortunate to enjoy a stay in April 2025 and it was a very relaxing and pleasant vacation. The cottage and the grounds were beautiful. The covered outdoor space with hammock were inspiring- loved swinging reading a book, enjoying the views day and night. There is enough kitchen gadgets to prepare meals and coffee at "home". “Really enjoyed our stay. A. The cabin had a terrific view and we had everything we needed for our long stay. We took advantage of some of the freshly made food items that Amber and Simon offered. Loved Calibishie and their location is great for exploring the northern part of the island. ”

“The new owners were really friendly and full of local knowledge. So was Pascal the taxi driver they arranged to pick us up. But we were also given lots of privacy. The view is amazing from the studio cottage. It was well appointed and comfortable, had good wifi. It could use a memory foam for the bed though. The grounds were clean and the whole Calibishie area is safe. Dominicans are soooo friendly! ”
