“A fantastic hotel but small improvements necessary.
Cleaning of room need to be earlier in the day.

“Beautiful building with unique interior. Lovely bar downstairs with great wine and cocktails. Reservation needed but was easy enough to complete online. Staff were really helpful and resolved any issues quickly. Coffee shop next door is part of the hotel and they offer a great selection. Location is perfect walking distance from Galata bridge and also Sultanahmet district. Plenty of restaurants, cafes, shops and vendors nearby. ”

The rooms are beautifully decorated and every details is taken care of. The staff are lovely and so helpful with recommendations. Without doubt, if we come back to istanbul, we will stay here. “Fantastisk och mycket hjälpsam och tillmötesgående personal. Talade mycket bra engelska vilket var till stor hjälp. God och varierad frukost. Stort rum med väldigt bekväm säng. Fräscht badrum. Testade hamam och massage vilket var underbart. Härligt område.
Det enda att tänka på är att ha fler uttag för att kunna ladda telefonen/iPad. Fick dra ut sladden till sänglampan för att kunna ladda. Kände ibland av röklukt i rummet (5e våningen) pga att folk rökte nära entrén på gatan, gick kanske igenom...

"We stayed at Decamondo Galata for five days with our family. Overall, I would rate our experience a 6 out of 10.
The hotel certainly has charm and history—housed in a building over 1,000 years old, which adds a unique character. However, the age of the structure also means that soundproofing is lacking. We stayed on the third floor, directly beneath the restaurant, and unfortunately, we could hear noise from above throughout our stay. The sound of the staff door opening and closing early in the morning, as well as chairs being moved in the evening, disrupted our rest.
Additionally, the cot provided for our four-year-old son was too small, which made sleeping arrangements challenging. The king-size bed was also not very comfortable, which further impacted our overall rest.
On the positive side, breakfast was enjoyable, and the location is excellent—just a short walk to Galata Tower and close to the metro. The staff were friendly and welcoming, both at reception and in the restaurant. However, the restaurant team did seem understaffed at times, which led to delays during breakfast service.
While there were definitely some positives, the noise issues and lack of comfort made it difficult for us to fully enjoy our stay. Unfortunately, we would likely look for alternative accommodation if visiting Istanbul again."
