How about some 3" screws that hit the stud! Soft kitchen floor with hole (trip hazzard)Not a comfortable chair in the place. Pillows hard as a rock and beds very uncomfortable.Overall, your typical OOB rental. Only invest enough in the property to make it look good in pictures, sell the location and the beach...

“We ended up staying only one night although we had booked 5 nights. The location and amenities were fine, but the fact that the bedrooms were upstairs and the bathroom down a rather steep flight of stairs, was something we hadn't expected and weren't comfortable with (bad knees). Also of note is that to get to the second bedroom, one has to walk through the first bedroom; and the upstairs could also be cooled only with a (very loud) standing air conditioner in the second bedroom. “It’s very reasonable for the price, quite cozy. Communicating with the owner was very pleasant and always quick to respond. Only downside was parking. The place has 6-7 units and parking is very limited, sometimes you get a parking spot and then the next time you’re trying to figure out where to park. The units are well numbered although be nice to have a little direction of where to enter. Overall, nice stay, clean and very close to anything you may need.”

“Good location and very clean.Issues: window shade was poorly installed and fell on me every time I tried to adjust it.The bed was sub-par and there was no remote to the living room TV. Otherwise, the room was adequate.”

“This is a pet friendly cottage with close proximity to the beach and within walking distance of the pier and amusements of Old Orchard Beach. The property is VERY rustic but very clean with a lot of towels and comfortable beds. Our biggest complaint is that the internet is weak and unreliable. This is a problem for anyone who needs to work remotely or if your kids want to watch TV on a rainy day or in the evening. This property met most of our basic needs.”

“The apartment was nice however it had an oder of old cigarette smoke that lingered and the stairwell/ hallway was in need of cleaning and updating We enjoyed the outside area that had a small firepit and chairs The walk to the beach was around 10 minutes There is a small convenience store extremely close by which was helpful ”

“Very cute unit, with everything you need for a stay at the beach. Steps away from the beach allowed us to leave for lunch and and occasional bathroom break. About a 10 minute walk to the pier, so close to the action, but far enough away to enjoy the quiet. Would definitely stay here again. Thank you for a much needed getaway”
