I just checked out of Hyatt Place Sacramento International Airport, and this was by far the most disappointing hotel stay I’ve ever had. This was my first time at a Hyatt Place, and sadly, it will be my last.
After booking and paying through Expedia, no one mentioned the $500 deposit until I arrived late at night after a redeye flight. Check-in was slow, confusing, and completely lacked empathy.
On Saturday, I requested turndown service. By Sunday and even Monday night, nothing had been cleaned—trash still in the room, dirty coffee cups untouched, ice bucket full of stale water, no fresh supplies. The manager apologized but the promised follow-up never happened.
Each day, the same issues continued: missing coffee, trash left in the room, no basic restocking. After a 12-hour workday and an unexpected project extension, I went to the front desk at 9 PM to book more nights. The receptionist refused to help and told me to “go online” instead.
Housekeeping was atrocious, communication nonexistent, and every request felt like a burden to staff. For over $1,500 (including deposit), I expected professionalism and basic hospitality—neither were delivered. I will not be returning and cannot recommend this property to anyone.
