“The circuit breaker tripped about 6 times during our stay. This was due to an old noisy and I believe unsafe A/C. Even the hot water system, we were warned, might trip the circuit breaker. Can this be safe? Other rooms had no A/C at all. The only parking is via a very steep and curved driveway. We did not enjoy our visit and left a day early. A significant maintenance overhaul is required.”

“Great house...and we couldn't believe the amazing views!! We were thankful for the lift as well when carrying things to the bottom level. We did notice that our feet were black after walking around barefoot in the house even on the first night when we hadn't been anywhere. There was also a chip packet left on the floor next to the couch on the middle level. We think the floors definitely need more attention - thorough vacuum and mop. The rest was very clean :). “The house was perfect for the family us and our 3 married children and their kid- 6years and 3 x18 month old. There was plenty of room and access to the quiet shady beach was perfect. It's an easy walk to Bannisters/Crazy Dog for coffee so we all had plenty of space and things to do. Shopping at Nelson Bay (15 minutes) was excellent with Coles Woollies etc. Several frides and cooking facilities.”

A rather ho-hum experience
"Rather standard motel, with good A/C and a large bed. The room wasn’t sufficiently clean as we found a discarded prawn on the floor under the bathroom vanity and there were hairs on the floor and in the bathroom. The sheets had holes in them (although the bed was comfortable) and the room was large and generous, with a big balcony too. No breakfast included, restaurant wasn’t even open in the morning and it felt like we just got milked for the fact it was high season. The level of service and standard of cleanliness while not being directly bad did leave a bit to be desired."
