“Did not like the pub closing for drinks at 8:00pm and closing completely at 9:00pm, spoiling a really fantastic venue. I’ve not known anything like it. ”

“Vi är en svensk familj med en 2-3-åring som gjorde en rundresa med bil i södra England i 2 veckor. Det var mer eller mindre en slump att vi gjorde just detta stopp, men blev glatt överraskade av att detta blev en av höjdpunkterna på resan. Hotellet ligger väldigt lantligt, var väldigt trevligt med mycket god mat! Ett bra utgångsläge om man vill se lite av Dartmoor-trakten, perfekt att komma hem hit på kvällen och slappna av och äta gott. Vår 2-åring tyckte dessutom det var väldigt roligt med...

“The room was lovely. The bed was very comfortable. It was nice and quiet at night and couldnt hear anything when breakfast started in the morning. Peacocks outside werent too vocal early morning so we got plenty of sleep. Staff were outstanding, friendly, polite and smiley. Breakfast was very tasty, only slight moan was portions could have been bigger but maybe thats us being greedy. We will definitely come back and stay again, we loved it”

“The unique thing about the Halfway House Inn is that it is truly dog friendly, no rip off £15 - 20 a night charge that we got at all the other hotels/pubs we stayed in on our 18 days away. We were made to feel welcome with our dog and not treated like 2nd class citizens”

“The Globe is a great pub/ bed and breakfast. The room we had was large and clean with a en-suite shower room. The breakfast was excellent and you can choose what you like from their cooked breakfast list the night before.The village of Buckfastleigh is very nice and you have the Abbey and moors on your doorstep. Great value.”
