“A beautiful, well maintained cabin with all the amenities. We spent the weekend there to attend an alumni event. It was a convenient location. “Our stay on Craig Creek was wonderful! The weather was incredibly windy so we couldn't do much on the creek and lost power due to the insane winds Saturday but it was so lovely to be outside and exploring the area right around the cabin. Mitch reported the outage for us and called us when the power was restored to ensure everything was ok. The porch bedroom was amazing as well! It was so nice to wake up with the creek and mountain view directly in front of you and we could see the stars at...

“A very peaceful and beautiful getaway. Very secluded property with a lovely view of the river. Ideal spot to unwind and enjoy nature. The house is well-stocked, very clean, and really cozy. The host is very thoughtful and even offered to drive me to various hiking spots. There is a very nice trail very close to the house if you don't feel like driving around a lot. I would plan to get groceries before arriving since the grocery store is a bit of a drive. Highly recommend!!”

“This was our third stay at the cabin, and our third season to experience there. We have visited in the Summer, Fall and Spring and each time has been fantastic! I can't begin to express how exceptional the hosts are when we come to stay. The little touches that make this the perfect vacation show how much they care about their guests. “The cabin was very comfortable and had everything we needed plus extras (firepit, kayak, canoe). Owner was very responsive and helpful. The creek behind the house was pristine and would make this a great spot in the summer. It's is at the end of a long drive and we were surprised by how many other houses were along the the way but the whole area was very quiet so it felt like we were the only ones there.”

“A group of retired couples stayed at River's Bend for New Year's weekend. We never left the place and had a fantastic time. Kitchen was well stocked, game room offered ping pong and pool, hiking right from property. The owner even took the trouble of getting 3 kayaks out of winter storage so that we could kayak on an unusually warm New Year's eve day! She was fantastic :)”

“Large cabin that is conveniently located near restaurants, many popular destinations and main thoroughfares. Cabin was clean and host quickly responded to any questions we had. Very steep driveway up to the cabin (yes, Roanoke has mountains!) -- but don't be discouraged -- we soon realized that parking was available in an area at bottom of hill with steps up to cabin. “Unable to get a hotel room so this was the only alternative. The RV was listed as big enough to sleep 4. Three would have been possible but 4 a stretch and there’s no way 4 people could have taken a hot shower. I got a lukewarm one day one (only in for several minutes) and my son’s was ice cold. Also the place was clean but smelled of stale beer. Also the AC ran constantly even though thermostat was set at 75 degrees. Place was frigid.”
