Fiddlestix-Relax på Beautiful Hatteras Island

Fiddlestix är den perfekta platsen att koppla av på den vackra Hatterasön. Huset är bara 2 mycket tillbaka från Atlanterhavet vilket gör det enkelt att gå över sanddynerna till miles av underbara stränder. Den är perfekt för att samla skal, gå en promenad eller sola medan du njuter av havets syn och ljud. Soluppgångar över havet och hisnande solnedgångar över
Pamlico Sound gör en bra början och slutar till dagar fyllda med vattensporter inklusive kajakpaddling, vindsurfing, kiteboarding och djuphavsfiske tillgängliga längs de yttre bankerna.

Det stora sovrummet ligger på översta våningen med en king size-säng, bad & platt-TV med DVD-spelare. Vardagsrummet har en plattskärms-TV med DVD-spelare som du kan njuta av när du spelar spel på det stora matbordet. Det fullt utrustade köket har gott om diskutrymme för att laga mat. Det finns en skärmad veranda utanför köket för att titta på solnedgångar med ett glas vin eller med morgonkaffe. Det finns många däck med olika rörliga stolar för olika behov.

Den lägre nivån har 3 sovrum, ett badrum och ett tvättstuga med full storlek tvättmaskin och torktumlare för din bekvämlighet. Ett sovrum har en queen size-säng, en annan har en dubbelsäng, och den 3: e har 2 enkelsängar. Alla har kabel-TV med DVD-spelare. Det finns mycket om böcker, olika spel, och några barnleksaker för alla att njuta av. Bottenvåningen har en utomhusdusch med varmt vatten för att tvätta sanden innan du går in efter en avkopplande dag på stranden. Det finns också plats för att parkera 2 fordon under huset samt ytterligare parkering i uppfarten.

Det ligger i Salvo, NC i tri-städerna Rodanthe, Waves & Salvo. Atlanten & Pamlico Sound är båda synliga från övre däck på denna smala barriärö. Platsen på Colony Dr är en trevlig lugn gata där ljudet från havet tränger igenom det tysta. Det är bra att gå och cykla eller bara hänga ut. Det är bekvämt för sidresor som Hatteras Island Lighthouse, gratis färja till Ocracoke, Pea Island Bird Sanctuary, shopping och middag i Nags Head, djuphavsfiske charter och många, många fler.

Det finns något för alla i de yttre bankerna i North Carolina. Fiddlestix ligger mitt i alla roliga !!

My family and I had the best time while staying at Fiddlestix and absolutely loved the area! The house was very nice and felt homey, big bonus was the short convenient walk to the beach. I would absolutely stay here again!

Fiddlestix was a lovely house. The welcome gifts were a delightful bonus. Unfortunately, the twin bedrooms' television was broken, but that didn't affect us at all. I believed that we watched television a total of 6 times in our 9 day stay. The master shower was a bit small, and I wish there were a couple of extra towels, but overall, it was a very enjoyable stay and we loved the location and easy access to the beach. Plenty of room for everyone with lots of activities within a short distance.

All the right bits. This property ticked all the right boxes for our group. The living room has ample seating for 11 or more. Large eating table seats 8 and is open to the living room. Kitchen was well stocked with cooking items and everything was fully functional. Bedrooms and bathrooms were all well kept and mattresses comfy. Lots of room on multiple decks to enjoy different portions of the day. We liked the screen porch in the morning with coffee since it kept the sun out of our eyes. In the evenings, the upper porch was a relaxing with a nice mix of shade and sun. At ground level there are two parking spots beneath the house, one with a picnic table. This provided an area late at night to hang out. The beach is in reasonable walking distance (entrance across street 2 houses down); just stay on the path since the shrubbery includes some tiny but thorny cacti. The local shops were more sedate than upper Hwy 12 which is a nice change of pace. Convenient stores are very close but a full grocery store is 20 minutes drive. There are multiple rental and surf sport nearby for recreation and a great swimming hole/state park within1 mile. The water there is about 2.5 ft deep for hundreds of feet with soft sand and clear water. Great for little ones.

Beautiful and Relaxing Vacation Spot!

I wanted to take my parents, siblings, and niece to the beach this summer as a delayed Christmas gift and Santa certainly delivered! Carol and Ken's home is beautiful, spacious, and a very short walk to a wonderful (and not too crowded) beach. The home was nicely decorated and had more than enough amenities for us. We managed to pack mostly everything we needed, but if you forget anything there is a Dollar General very nearby and a Food Lion about 20 minutes away. I also STRONGLY recommend checking out the Waves Market and Deli; it's delicious very reasonably priced!All in all, an absolutely wonderful vacation and I can't recommend Fiddlestix enough! If we make another trip down to OBX I certainly plan on checking the availability of the property :)

Our stay at Fiddlestix was great! It’s within walking distance of the beach and several local businesses. The house is the best we’ve stayed in: beautiful, LOTS of outdoor living/deck space and more than enough conveniences to make cooking and enjoying family time at the house a real pleasure. Fantastic Fiddlestix !

This place is amazing ! We loved our stay , Great Location , Excellent well cared for , Maintained and updated property, Really Nice decks, well maintained, updated, Fresh new stainless screws on upper deck., Great craftsman ship ! Really enjoyed the decks! I have been in construction for 35 plus years and i LOVE being outdoors! refrigerator and beds worked great to ! Not to mention we had fantastic weather ! We will be back Next year , Kids are already discussing the dates ! Thanks again for the amazing property !

Great house in a quiet neighborhood

This is a great place if you're looking for quiet and beach time. The beach was a short walk away. We had a bad weather week so we didn't get to see much of what OBX has to offer. We were inside a lot so I'm thankful that the hosts had a well equipped kitchen. Overall, a great place to stay. had a well equipped kitchenh makscomfortable.

Fiddlesticks was very clean and Carol was so good at communicating with us. The house was set up and stocked well which made cooking easy. We were 5 minutes from the beach and the walk was easy.

Fun at Fiddlestix

We had a wonderful stay at Fiddlestix. The house is in a great location. It was clean and had all the amenities we needed for our stay. The beach is a short but difficult walk over the dunes and not accessible for my elderly mother. Although she opted to stay back while we went to the beach, she enjoyed sitting in the screened in porch area and reading. There was something for everyone. Thank you for providing a beautiful place for our vacation.

Good Times

We really enjoyed our stay. Conveniently located between Nags Head and Hatteras Island so if traveling north or south, nothing is too far. Very clean and well taken care of. Easy comfort within the house and lots of deck space with screened in porch as well. Our host was friendly and communication was great. Most certainly recommended!

Beach fun

We were two families with kids. The house was very workable for multiple adults and kids. The house has all the amenities you need. The proximity to the beach was great, a short 5 min. walk. The host was absolutely great and very responsive. One con would be the size of the bedrooms. They are on the small side, so it you need to put an air mattress down, there really isn’t much space. Not a problem, just wanted to mention it. Overall a great value for a stay this close to the beach!

Our Week Stay at Fiddlestix

We had a fantastic stay at your beach house! Everything was as described. Host was very friendly and responded to all questions / concerns I had. Walk to beach was short. Only issues we had was transporting the storage wagon over the dunes, but that wasn’t too bad. There was one area walking to the beach, through the path between the homes, where a large concrete stone was protruding from ground. Whoever walks through there should be mindful not to hit with foot, as my brother did, or you may get injured. This is not hosts responsibility but just mentioning it for whoever is reading this to pay att. Plenty of activities and restaurants right on Hateras Island. This was our first trip to OBX and we all had a great time! We had 3 children with us and the house was well equipped with books, tV programs and safe for them to wander without getting into any trouble (well equipment child gate on top floor and latched gates on all levels of the outside decks.) The beach itself was perfect for me and my brother, since we love swimming through the waves. The day beach area about 2 miles away was perfect for all members of our family. We must have walked out over 200 yards and water was still only up to my knees. There is an amazing water park about an hour away on route 158 which we utilized for 1 entire day. The NC Aquarium is not too far away either and nice spot to visit with family. Hope to stay again next year or whenever my family is free again! Thank you for your hospitality!

Fiddlestix bliss!

What a great stay......we were two families and had more than enough space. The house is cozy, in a quiet neighborhood and has everything you need for a fun vacation. A short walk to the beach over the dunes....super quiet spot, just the way we like it. Great communication from Carol before, during and after the stay. Everything at the house was as described. Girl’s trip…

My teenage daughter, my college roommate, and her two daughters just enjoyed a lovely stay at Fiddlestix. The house was just what we wanted and needed. There was plenty of room, great outdoor spaces and in close proximity to everything we wanted to do. We watched the sunrise over the Atlantic, after a short walk to the beach and watched sunsets over the sound, after a quick bike ride. We couldn’t have asked for more! Hoping to return in the (near) future!!

Perfect house

This house is perfect for a family with older and younger kids. All my children are adult and their own level. There are a baby gates everywhere which was perfect for my granddaughter. There is 3 flights of stair which wasn’t the best for my old lady hips lol but all in all this was an amazing home to stay in for the week.
