“Our second time at the Bay Leaf on our trip to the Andaman Islands. We found the BL to be a modern well run hotel and a good central location. We stayed in two types of rooms we found both to be of a good standard. Eg: comfortable beds, clean well maintained bathrooms and good AC/Fans. The rooftop restaurant /Bar is a nice place to eat dinner or enjoy a cocktail overlooking Port Blair, once again we found the level of service excellent. “I had booked a room with two separate beds. Although hotel upgraded our room, it could not provide two single beds. In the end we had to ask manager who helped us put a single extra bed. Thanks.”

“What we did not like was that the hotel looked good on the expedia website but the reality was very different. The entrance was very depressing and at night was not lit at all. You needed a torch to find your way. Room was big but was not very clean. We even had an additional guest. A cockroach! The hotel is overpriced for what it provides.”

“I stayed at this hotel recently, and it was a nightmare. The beds were disgustingly dirty, with stains and hairs everywhere—see pictures. The staff were incredibly rude and unhelpful; they made me move rooms late at night, and the new room was equally dirty. I wasn't happy about it. They were making comments about foreigners in their language, which I found disgusting. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy.
