“The Drury Plaza is our favorite place to stay when in San Antonio. The staff are super friendly and the place is always super clean. Breakfast is standard as with most hotels, but the 5:30 Kickback rocks. You get three free adult beverages and they offer a free dinner at 5:30 every day. Nothing fancy, but it’s good, but there are a bunch of great restaurants within walking distance.

“Drury Hotels are great. The breakfast buffet and 5:30 kickback with three drinks for adults was outstanding for the price of the room. Having only one elevator made getting to and from our room a bit tougher, but our room was great. Love the restrooms down the hall from our rooms as well as the common lounge areas on our floor were my wife used the Wi-Fi to get caught up on her college assignments. Overall, we were impressed with Drury and will look forward staying here again in the future!!”
“The carpet was extremely dirty. White socks were black after waking around the room. The entire hallway and room smelled like someone was reheating seafood in a nearby room. The room was spacious. The snacks were great for the kids and the adults loved the drinks.”

The hotel’s location was great: close to downtown and the River Walk. The price was low too. Unfortunately, that is where the positive experience ended.
Looking back, I wish I had paid a little more to stay somewhere else. The online photos were misleading. The lobby looked nice, but the rest of the hotel did not match it. The rooms and hallways felt old, worn down, and poorly maintained. It felt like someone tried to put lipstick on a pig.
