We have parking spaces available for reservation in the buildings lot. The costs are $20 per night. Due to limited spaces, parking is available on a first come, first serve basis. We cannot guarantee parking, so please inquire about our availability prior to booking if this is a requirement for you. We can also provide recommendations to other nearby lots upon request! Great place to stay, only unfortunate part is we couldn't get a parking spot reserved. Close to the gaslamp and petco park which was the main reason we stayed here.Theres a great bakery nearby and also free parking on the bridge on broadway if you are willing to walk 10-15 minutes!

Women, DO NOT STAY HERE, especially if you don't have a car.

This VRBO is in a very sketchy area of town, and it's not safe to hang outside for a ride service. Homeless people are sleeping within the perimeter of this property, and you hear random yelling and cries throughout the night. What's even worse is the incident that happened to me on my first night with Select Stays, my experience with the property management team. It's a long story, but there was a banging on my front door at 10 pm. This apartment is supposed to be in a secure building; I didn't expect to be woken up by banging on my door twice that night. Select Stays requested that I open the door, but I explained that I'm fearful for my life and refuse to open the door. I had indicated that I wanted assurances that I was safe before I opened the door. They requested numerous times, and I refused each time. The only thing that prevented me from being assaulted and/or raped was that locked door. At one point in the conversation, they said we have cameras, but I told them that they couldn't guarantee my safety. The next day, when you examined the cameras, you found loose wires that weren't even secured to the wall. Anybody can easily cut the line. If you look closely at one of the pictures, it appears that one of the wires was tampered with, as indicated by the burnt line. They didn't handle my situation correctly on all accounts. What's even worse, Select Stays/the host refuse to resolve this for me. At whatever cost, DO NOT STAY HERE.

Solo trip for a conference

I came to San Diego for a conference in the San Diego Convention Center. It was a 15 minute walk to the convention center, which was pleasant and a nice way to get some easy exercise (the weather is beautiful!). The place was clean. I appreciated the welcome snacks. There are two grocery stores close by, including right across the street. I watched the sunset each night from the roof top. You are in walking distance from the Gas Lamp district. You are closer to a freeway, and I could hear that when sleeping but it didn't bother me.The owners are responsive and available. I would stay here again if/when I come back to San Diego for a conference.
